Yeah sure I get it. I guess I've seen him maybe 20 times and there might have been 3 with release but not a physical climax. Not sure if that makes sense or how your experience felt.
For others reading this thread, it's difficult to describe. He can be both dominating and caring. I've only encountered one other provider (London) that was similar. For anyone thinking of seeing him its important not to "monitor" what he's doing-- is that a drum? Is that incense? It's best to get out of your thinking brain and lean into the rhythm of the drum beat or the smell of the incense and turn your brain off. It can be pretty hard to do, plus part of the excitement of seeing a new masseur are things like: how and where is he touching my body, are there hints of eroticism to come, when do things turn sexy. Those thoughts are thrilling and exciting. I love it but not really the situation here. Oh, and if you're 100% alpha type or must be in control then save your money for a masseur lol.

I've seen Alex many times over many years though I haven't seen him since covid. His background is indigenous South American and he's an actual shaman. So yeah, a lot of drums, chanting, incense, etc. which is authentic for him. It's very little typical massage but rather an experience that you lean in and let go into. I've also done leather (leather not feather) sessions with him which were very sexually charged. 
It's not for everyone and not for anyone looking for rub n tug (or a typical hour deep tissue with release). Admittedly it took a couple of sessions in the beginning before I understood what it was and wasn't. 
Tantric by definition has a spiritual component but the term has been bastardized and lost its meaning. We discussed that on occasion and his frustration around that point. That said, his ad doesn't give you much to go on so some of that misunderstanding is on him. It's likely those who book have different expectations. I kept going back because I appreciated the experience and focus on my well being. And I find him sexy af. 😁

He's now in North Carolina, but he no longer mentions anything about yoga or being a yoga practitioner (although a few reviewers do mention it).
However, I'm sure that he can address special requests about yoga from potential clients. 

Saw John before for a full rubdown + lingam + prostate massage session. Very polite and courteous guy. The session is very breathe- and mindfulness-focused. I practise yoga a lot, so I was able to follow his flow easily, but that might be challenging for guys who have never done this especially when his hands are wandering all over the sensitive spots on your body haha.

The lingam and prostate part was great. Kept me on the edge for a long time and the sensation was both stimulating and relaxing. He really guided me to feel my body and amplify the pleasure I was experiencing. My only "complaint" is that his palms are a bit rough (I assume from weightlifting), and that can make the lingam part sometimes too harsh (ouch)

I'm with you.  Not into man scent.  Fresh out-of-the-shower pits are the best for me.  I'm mostly into the visual of hairy armpits. It's about the manliness of it all.  If a guy is shirtless, my eyes most often wander there after checking out his face. The rest of the sizing up then follows. And when I am swimming laps I get energized if the guys in lanes next to me have hairy pits. I sure am disappointed when a guy's pits are shaved.  It would be great to have somewhere here a list of guys with amazing hairy pits.  Sure would make my selection process much easier.

There's a remedy for that - getting there yourself. 

I've noticed when I read reviews on RM for different massages, some categorize the experience as "other" instead of the three categories the ad has listed : Therapeutic, Sensual or Erotic.  Usually the 'other' is more expensive and longer in time, as well (according to the reviewer). I'm thinking 'other' must mean a more 'escort' experience, but I don't want to jump to that conclusion without checking here first (especially wen the same provider doesn't have an escort ad running on RentMen). It also seems that when a masseur gets a lot of great reviews (say 40) about a third of them are listed as 'other'. 
Can anyone clear this up for me - especially those who have left reviews under 'other' ?  Thanks ! 

Many masseurs are vague deliberately. They don’t open the door for more than a massage until after they see you naked on the table. It could be, that about a third of clients are appealing enough to the provider to receive “other”

I saw him last month. He just moved into his new place and the massage happens on a table set up in the living room. The massage was just OK and his body is not as defined as he was in the picture but I still found him cute. The massage was just OK nothing special.
