I’ve learnt the painful way (being publicly shamed and losing a friend who was insulted by my ignorance) that I needed to get familiar with the science of undetectable status.
As with prep, It can take some getting used to if you’re from the generation that was told condoms are the only barrier between you and potential death. 
Anyone active not familiar with what undetectable means should read and research, don’t just rely on us here.
But remember, relying on someone just relaying their status (undetectable or on prep) should not be sufficient even if it is 100% accurate as of the date they received results (and I’ve come across many who’ve lied for whatever reason). 

As has been mentioned many times by many people in many posts, the health status in an advertisement can be inaccurate, out of date, or both.  Please do not rely on what an advertisement says as being 100% truth - even the advertiser may not be completely aware of their current health status.  Only you can take the appropriate precautions in protecting your own health and mitigating the risk of infection, and not just regarding HIV, but also for many other conditions and diseases that are sexually transmitted and not protected against by PrEP.

He is taking medication and at this point has no detectable viral load and in theory he is not able to transmit the virus.  While it is probably safe, you should really know if he is taking his medications.  Otherwise, anal receptive behavior would probably be done with a condom. Of course, if you are on Prep, you have much less about which to be concerned.  

Things are going to get really nasty 30 years from now when the PreP bareback generation starts getting anal cancer from HPV.
