Got a hilarious response yesterday from a non-binary provider who I thought would be a nice diversion. $700/hour plus Uber. I went for a run and let the initial desire lapse!

The recent influx of escorts trying to charge escort rates for massage could be a sign of economic recession. Times getting tough?
In my book, they'd better be competent masseurs, reasonably hot, friendly, and fine with getting naked with me and being lightly touched if I am going to pay $160 or max $180 per hour or $240-$260 for 90 minutes. I have no interest in paying $300 per hour to someone who has no skills, typically expects to be admired, and likely to cut corners trying to be done with me ASAP just because they are hot and muscled up. In fact, it's demeaning and a huge turnoff. My 2c, the reason I noticed him is that he just "moved" to Orlando to milk this market for its worth while he can.

Welcome to the Forum.   It looks like this is your first post.  Does he charge the same $300 for his massage service as he does for escorting?

I've seen him a couple of times but probably wouldn't repeat.  He says he's been certified all over the world and has a special "nuru" massage that's his schtick.  Most of that is likely BS.  Other than a few things at the beginning, it's just the usual massage you get from anyone.  He's a nice guy and I really enjoy talking to him.  The first time was OK but with limited sensual/erotic elements, yet I decided to see him again.  The second time was not as good so I probably wouldn't see him again.   Great guy but the experience just wasn't up to the level that I expect.

I go the full time. By that I mean once the client gets on the table and I start working, to the time their massage is finished. NOT:
    Client going to the bathroom
    showering
    chit chat
    paying
laying on the table for a while after, mind completely blown, and in quiet recovery
    getting dressed
    etc.
I plan buffers for these activities and to clean thoroughly before the next client arrives, and usually with enough to give myself at least a few minutes to respond to inquiries. For me, that’s at least 30 mins between one client ending their scheduled time and the next client’s scheduled time begins. The buffer allows me to go slightly over if necessary or offer the client a shower, and it gives me wiggle room to take a client early should they arrive more than 5-10 mins before their scheduled start time, or still get my current client done should they arrive late.
Clients showing up late I short on time, ending at their scheduled end time so as to respect the next client’s start time. When the next client is scheduled later, I accommodate the late client by starting and ending late. It’s all a matter of circumstances.
It boggles my mind why more of my peers don’t structure their appointments with reasonable buffers. It’s very important to me that each client gets their full time. It’s important to me when I get massages myself.
Honestly I have a hard time finishing my routine any faster than the scheduled time. Sometimes it ends right on time, often it runs over. But then again I am actually providing a real, skilled massage. A lot of guys in the industry are opportunistic rub-and-tug types with short term goal$.
I want my clients to return. I give them their full time, every time. Masseurs that don’t aren’t serious about their work, and they’re not working to develop long term clients. Skip the amateurs and unserious, pervasive though they may be. Go with experienced, consummate professionals.
Places like here are the best ways to find the good guys!
When a masseur massively shorts your time, please write a review stating the facts, both here and on whatever platform you found them on, like RentMasseur. It helps identify the bad actors and lead other clients toward the pros. Also, it motivates the bad guys to either a) improve their practice or b) exit the biz.

My clients get the full time they paid for. You’re probably not hiring masseurs because they’re not interested in giving you a great massage.

That has very little to nothing to do with the effectiveness of PrEP.
Do you have a link to studies that backup claims of widespread unreliability?
Breakthrough cases are extremely rare.  Yes, they happen, but it's not a concerning number at this point:
    https://www.aidsmap.com/about-hiv/prep-failures-breakthrough-infections
Many of these cases were due to user error (adherence).
Newer formulations of PrEP are even more effective and they will continue to refine it.
PrEP is not the bad guy.  It's a fucking life saver.

Nothing wrong with asking for info not listed on the ads, even from a dozen providers at once. As long as there’s not a lot of back and forth wanting free random conversations or sexting behavior, or “negotiating” behavior, I have no problem responding to inquiries. It means someone is considering hiring me and I want that. Be direct, ask for specific things and you’re good. Maybe you hire me tomorrow, maybe you hire me next year. Maybe never. That’s fine. Just respect the provider’s time as best you can, and you’re golden.

If it matters to anyone, he also is a looney conservative who hates democrats and thinks Roe vs Wade being reversed and a school shooting that happened shortly afterward was orchestrated by the left so they would get more midterm election votes. He said this on his TikTok. I won’t share the account since it’s not related to his massage, but if you put his pic in the website facecheck.id . I personally am going to avoid him.

Responding to client requests is a waste of time?   I thought that was a normal part of business.  In my industry, you end up only getting business from a fraction of the potential clients who request info.  I don't know why escorting would be any different.

True - but realistically most providers aren’t having multiple dates 7 days a week.  And why have 2-3 short dates with perhaps a no show, or a jerk, when I’m a repeat customer and easy to deal with?  1000 bucks is 1/2 the months rent or more if they have roommates.  Seems like good money.
This site is littered with threads of people complaining about how difficult the process can be.  I booked a room and he didn’t show up.  I went to a city and got stood up x amount of times.  Provider got lost.  Client was with family.  Someone insisted on face pics.  Provider was in seedy hotel.  Dog ate my homework.
So they can take a for sure thing.  Or spend the night sorting through all of the messages they complain about.  Maybe they can have lunch with someone for a predate interview.

As often discussed, this is one of the most capitalist market segments. So if providers want to raise rates - nothing to stop them. They can determine over time if it’s working.
Prices do NOT rise for everything in inflationary times, they can even come down even for luxuries, and prices don’t move consistently. It’s why the wise ones call it a “basket” when calculating inflation.

Not sure why escorts are charging so much now.   I guess if they can get it, they may as well charge it.
Escort rates haven't risen that much overseas though is the funny thing.
I've been quoted $400 to $500 an hour recently by US escorts who aren't even porn stars starting out with no reviews or just a couple.    In Europe $400 can get you a hot, well known escort for 2 hours.   200EU seems to be the going rate.   I was recently in the same city as D'mitery osten and hired him (I've hired him a few times and one of my favorite hires) and his rate is 200EU.   I always hire him for 90 minutes for $300EU (about $340US) and he normally will spend a good two hours with me when you factor in he wants to shower together and just talk about whats going on with his careeer and him leaving Russia for good.   You are lucky to get 50 minutes out of some US escorts

StudHasssan does not respect boundaries. I left a session with him after only a few minutes (sometime pre-Covid). I certainly enjoy alpha male energy from a provider. From him I got more of angry beta confusing violence for rough play. He was behaving like he was coked up. I shut it down and he started to get angry and pushy. He slapped my ear hard enough that I could not hear for a few days.  I’m very capable of taking care of myself, but nevertheless do not like feeling fear when I am with a provider. Avoid this man. There are other providers who can give you a “muscle top with an edge” experience who are genuinely good guys. StudHasssan is psycho.

Unfortunately most of these guys work for an "agency" and their rates are usually on the higher end.   Sometimes it seems like nearly all of the profiles on RM are from Latin America, yet the prices haven't come down.   As long as guys are willing to pay $200 for a "masseur" with no zero skills or an escort who tries to get you out the door as soon as possible, a lot of guys will enter the industry.   In my opinion, a lot of them have killer bodies and looks you dream about, but once you get them in bed, the experience is mediocre at best.

Most of them are not trained. As
masseurs, they are selling you sex appeal, and the thought that the massage may go further, but skills are rare.
