  1. I just can not get the url in.

You would download the pic to your computer first, then follow @azdr0710 's instructions. To save the picture, open the URL, right-click on the picture and select "Save image as" and either specify a name or use the one that displays in the pop-up.

  2. There are a few reasons other than tardiness you might be getting his voice mail:

    • He is taking a vacation day
    • He is taking a sick day
    • He is out in the field
    • He is on another call

That said, it must be frightening to find that your LifeAlert box is lost and I can see why rational thinking in time f crisis might be difficult. Take a deep breath and call the company's technical support team. They can help you. The salesman really can't at this point.

  3. So she's a lesbian?

    That was my question, too.

I volunteered with a gal who had transitioned from male to female and who also happened to be married to a woman she met after having transitioned. When I asked her whether she was a lesbian she answer was "it's complicated - not sure myself." She was not being facetious.

It actually opened up a dialogue and deepened our friendship.

EDIT: I accidentally referred to her as "he." Typo corrected.

  4. Please guys learn the meaning of “pedicure”

I can't seem to walk in them. I like them on an attractive guy with well-groomed feet though. But lots of guys' feet are kind of busted up and unattractive.

People, if your big toe joint sticks out to the point your big toe and the metatarsal form a right angle get that bunion fixed before you're crippled!

If you look where you are going you won't see others' feet.

My favorite sandals are Ecco Yucatans.

  5. To be super clear I wasn't meaning a mandatory compliance-based standard, I get how difficult that might be to enforce....

Gee, we were all hoping you were serious. I'll tell them to halt electric shock delivery development. And they were so close.

Though it does strike me that if there was a "recommended standard" we could refer people to- I am sure a number of people on here would help as the "title police" LOL

I can't see that ever happening here on the Forum. Uh-uh.

BTW: Your sentence structure is awkward and the dash is not the proper punctuation mark. :p

  6. Last week I spoke to Life Alert to get their emergency system. I was told that UPS would deliver the equipment today (Monday). A few minutes ago I heard a knock on my door. I yelled that I was coming. I'm slow moving. When I got there the box was on the ground and no delivery man. I do not like that!!!

What if I had not heard the knock? I'm not going anywhere but I don't like that type of service. Someone could have stolen it!

When I called Life Alert to tell them it had arrived I complained about it but the woman said that's how UPS is.

This is why since last century (1996) I have not gotten home mail delivery. I have a rent box at the UPS store in a shopping center three miles away.

Did you specify the delivery should be sent to your address at the UPS Store? When I was staying in a hotel for three months (extended business trip) I opened a UPS Store mailbox and had mail and packages sent there. It was easy!

  7. I must say I haven't heard it as mush as before... hopefully it's disappearing.

Hmm...maybe your annoyance antennae were on the fritz from, like, 1985 to, like, well, like now! ;)

I'll admit the "like" habit is hard to kick. There are four of us at work who are around the same age (50 - 56) and we say "like" all the time. One of our 40-ish colleagues asked one day "what's up with 'like?'" We all laughed.

  8. I think I read somewhere something like:

"I really enjoy watching my companion enjoy my company as much as I enjoy his and his achievement of a climax with me is a key part of my enjoyment of our time together. Given your busy schedule do you think that it would be better to postpone our appointment until your next visit to town when we can meet earlier in the day?"

    Hypothetically.

    Perfect!

  9. I find the titles that include the name of the provider and city work way better than the generic ones without context.

411 on Jared in Hoboken, NJ

    vs.

411 on this guy that's new?

    Any thoughts?

We did, but we had trouble sending the electric shock to the keyboard when they didn't comply. Same with omitting the link.

But seriously...your post should be pinned to the top of the "Deli" and "Spa."

  10. @rvwnsd we had a PM about him a couple years ago. Do you still have the old conversation with me? June 2016

    The message you quoted:

Does anyone have experience with Ryan Musclegod in LA?

Feel free to send me a PM if you would prefer.

    Thanks in advance, guys

is from 2015!!! You and I PM'd almost a year later. In fact, I think your PM was in response to that then-old post. Thanks to your PM I didn't hire him. :)

  11. So much for urbanism and urban cars.

    l6jvvgaayjinp5dwlrb7.jpg

Meet Ford's idea of an urban car: The Focus Active small crossover.

Speaking from experience (Saturn SL-2) small sedan is pretty impractical in a city. Hatchbacks/crossovers much more so. Based on the description, the Focus Active is a lot like the Caliber, which was a great city car. It was easy to park, had an amazing turning radius, and with the rear seats folded down you could fit all sorts of things in the back. (I moved an armoire)

  12. Those might be worth some antique status. I have magazines from circa 2002 from New York that had full blown escort ads. Very simple, just a name, title and rates/phone number. I think one guy from the ad is still in business.

But like I say, I want to make sure it goes to the right people. And I think there's some places that are pretty good icebreakers. At the same time, I just can't help the fact that I keep getting chatted up in public by guys. And apparently, according to one of my clients, my hooha was hanging out, which prompted one of the customers of HIS store to have a long drawn out conversation with me.

At the same time, it can be hard. Sometimes a guy will seem to be giving off vibes, but they end up being straight. Or, they seem straight and in fact are "straight"...and end up calling me.

With Craigslist gone, this is really going to "PUSH" people to make connections out in public. Ain't no time like the present to have something to take it from small talk to full blown fucking. With common sense, of course.
