You could ask AT&T to change the caller ID name to something other than the name on your account. My cousin is on my cell phone plan, so imagine my surprise when my landline rang and it was me calling. We changed that.
PS: I no longer have a landline.
By the way - I am not kidding. My beloved cat Willy (whose spirit occupies my current cats) was lonely, so I adopted Heidi, the former feral. She hid from me (and everyone else), but would hang around him. So, I had a cat and my cat had a cat.
In that case, I would probably not have backed out quite so readily, figuring he was in session and could not get back to me. HOWEVER, having hired him several years ago I don't think you missed much.
Wait...
You contacted him about a time, he never got back to you, you sent one last text stating "never mind" because he never confirmed, and he was upset that you cancelled. How exactly does one "cancel" an appointment that was never confirmed. There was no appointment to cancel!
Or am I misunderstanding?
This left me shaking my head speechless. "Asshole" isn't that shocking to me, but there's no describing what "selling your mother to ISIS as a sex slave" is. Disgusting doesn't seem strong enough. I'm truly sorry you experienced this.
