  1. Whoops! The point being, this applies only to THIS THREAD.
  2. @JoeMendoza's original post asked readers to "like" only if they had not done whatever was stated to have never been done.
  3. For the record, I "liked" this post: because I have been the Lucky Pierre. Very lucky, actually.
  4. This isn't the same Egypt we read about in the news, is it?

    Advice?

Given the the misuse and incorrect capitalization of "idiom" and the word soup he calls a sentence, I doubt he is highly educated or hired a professional writer. He's an example of a person having below-average to average intelligence using big words so they sound smart. His interview is also rather strange. I'd pass.
  6. Never heard of it. What's the URL?
  7. If memory serves, you and HD tied so there's always that. I think you are right. You could have asked, but if memory serves he dismissed the "discount" comment as him just messing with him. It is possible he screwed up by forgetting to mention the fee, realized his mistake after he paid for the tickets, and decided to see what happened next. That was also my thought but it was a great save. Kudos to him for concocting a great story. Now, now. Don't sell yourself short with Denny's dates. I bet someone would pay you to take them to Outback Steakhouse or even Ruth's Chris. Do you think the little "cadre" even exists? At the end of the day, you had a great evening and great sex. Good for you!
  8. Here's the correct link (previous one had a typo): https://rent.men/MichaelWest
  9. Not sure why I forgot about your feedback, @AshburyGuy. The mind is the first to go! 🙃
  10. I think he's flipped from being "rough trade" to being "a liar." Do liars give the finger and hang their tongues out, or is that exclusively a rough trade trait? Wonder if he's being truthful about being a liar.
  11. Although the unfolding story is more fascinating that watching a bunch of Trader Joe's daffodils open (don't believe me? buy a bunch next spring and watch for yourself!), when he said he was "just kidding" about giving you a discounted rate on a hire you could have said "well, I'm not" and brought him home!
  12. I doubt you are in the minority. Probably more like the vast, vast majority. Make unnecessary busywork for you, it would seem.
  13. A few guys having "turk" in their names have been discussed here but I don't recall seeing this guy. Sorry for not having any first-hand knowledge.
  14. Officially, On December 9, 2014, Mike Jeffries stepped down as A&F CEO due to criticism of the company's performance and 11 straight quarters of negative company comparable-store sales. The shares jumped 8 percent after the move was announced, marking the biggest one-day gain in more than nine months. (paraphrased from Bloomberg Businessweek and Fortune) The real reason is he stood too close to the fireplace and melted.
  15. In addition to having insecurities, memories, usually bad, in some people get triggered for no apparent reason. It happens to me all the time. I'll have to find the article about the guy who could remember the minutest of minute details about bad experiences dating back to childhood. If I locate it I will post a link.
  16. It appears that "Vaseline Alley" isn't an official street name. There was a proposal in the mid-2010's to hold a festival in that location, but no details on what happened to the proposal. My guess is the individual who wanted to hold the festival registered the name on Google Maps. A similar thing happened with "The Downtown Phoenix Museum of Gentrification" here in downtown Phoenix. As the Evans-Churchill neighborhood was being redeveloped into condos, office towers, and apartments, the resident of an old house called it "The Downtown Phoenix Museum of Gentrification" as a joke and registered it on Google Maps. However, they have now designated it as "officially closed." Truth is, it was never open. Here's an interesting article from Patch on WeHo street names.
  17. If he is in WeHo/LA when I visit in July might try to see him. He tends to move around at a moment's notice, so it might not work out.
  18. The link provided by the OP displays the Wikipedia page for "International Whores' Day," as it is called in France, where the commemoration originated.
