  1. There are some Sears stores left, but I don't think a crowded Sears has existed for several years. Haha, no. Was thinking of random places (like the 151 Sheridan bus) and then switched to random fictitious places. "A crowded Sears"seems pretty fictitious these days. That said, "Drill Me, Craftsman" could be fun to watch.
  2. I contacted him a few years ago using RM mail (this was pre-RM messenger), so no email or phone I can share. His ad disappeared a short while after reaching out to him, so I never actually communicated with him.
  3. Thank you for pointing that out. For future reference, make sure you write the sentence correctly when pointing out a typo . The correct way to have written the sentence was to encase the words "wreck" and "wreak" in quotation marks ("), not apostrophes ('), and place the question mark inside of the quotation marks, as below: Could someone please change the headline from "WRECK" to "WREAK?"
  4. If the wildfires and global pandemic weren't bad enough, Utah suffered winds reaching up to 99 MPH Monday and Tuesday, causing hundred of uprooted trees, crushed cars, semis tossed around the freeway, and in one neighborhood a mattress roaring down a street. The Salt Lake City Tribune and Deseret News both have coverage. A colleague who lives in SLC said she sustained a downed section of fence but no debris. It had all been blown away by the winds. Scary.

Except for the times when a Google search leads me there, I've never read it on a consistent basis. I prefer more substantive, well-vetted sites like The Onion. At least their fake information is intended to be fake.
  6. I suppose it is when one wishes to make oneself miserable.
  7. Gen-X here, but similar story. There was a woman involved, but it was me never quite making the move to be romantic that finally made me say "dude, you're gay" at 30. I came out to others at 33. No one had an issue at all. One of my straight friends said something to the effect of "I hope you didn't feel like I'd reject you if you told me sooner." A few years later my dad mentioned that he wasn't surprised but was glad I was able to come out and stop hiding. This is the same dad who tried setting me up with one of his physicians. When I said I wasn't interested he asked me what kind of guys I like. If it is any consolation, Boomers and Gen X-ers aren't the only ones who have struggled with coming out. When I co-facilitated a men's coming out group about 20 - 40 percent of the members were college age to late 20's. and another 30 - 50 percent in their mid-30's to mid-40's. To paraphrase Depeche Mode, people are people, so why would it be, that different age groups would experience differently?
  8. That's about as crass as saying "I only go to grindr and scruff to find hook-ups." It's not like you are using the comparative literature study groups section of MeetUp for that purpose. ?On second thought, if you DID use a comparative literature study group to identify business opportunities I might join one. ?
  9. I support a couple of the local food banks here in Phoenix, UMOM (an organization that assists homeless women/children and those who are victims of domestic violence), Arizona Humane Society (from which I adopted the furry little lights of my life). Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (what they can't sell they recycle), and the San Diego County LGBT+ Center (in addition to youth housing and an excellent program for trans people they offer several support groups and sliding-scale mental health services). I'm also a subscriber to my local NPR station and give here and there to other charities.
  10. Well, no one said "in @RealAvalon 's bedroom, so I think you saying "in my bedroom" to mean your bedroom technically is saying it for the first time. So, you're good. ? ?
  11. Not the same guy at all. I've seen Bigtexstud's vids on xtube and Dudes Nude as well as the face pics in his ad. He looks nothing like Josh Big Texan, whom I hired several years ago.
  12. They might not be better quality, but I wonder about the sanitation practices at the pharmacy. I've typically gotten them at VONS/Safeway, but this year it will be at my doc's office. Their protocol is get there no more than 5 minutes in advance of the appointment, wait no more than 5 minutes for a sanitized room, get a temperature check, and all staff wear masks and shields. You are probably thinking "But, wait - wouldn't lax sanitation be a problem any year?" The answer is "yes," but I am being hyper-vigilant this year.
  13. Until early this year his pics on rent.men showed him as a hot, muscular stud but did not show his face. Then he updated his pics and included some of his face. Were his body still muscular a face mask fantasy might work, but that combo is one giant hot mess. Then there's the matter of his hair. Regarding his age, he really ought to specify how many annual 28th birthdays he has celebrated.
  14. Incontinence and puppy pads work great. Just lay a few on the sheets and throw 'em away when you are done.
  15. COVID-19 is called a pandemic because it affected a large number of people over a wide geographical area (i.e. every continent except Antarctica). Were it confined to one country (such as the United States) it would probably be called an epidemic instead.
  16. My doctor just sent a flu shot reminder. Will be getting mine this week.
  17. TGOT's ad is gone. Must have seen the review.
  18. Why do you thunk he is not legit?
  19. I wouldn't take a vaccine that had not been proven to be safe and effective. This one has the look and feel of propaganda, as would an "October surprise."
  20. Thanks to those who mentioned outdoor mask mandates in their areas it occurred to me that Arizona's mask mandate is a bit different than other states. We are required to wear a mask outside of our homes except when exercising outdoors AND we can maintain a distance of at least six feet from others. As I said above, that's pretty easy to do in Phoenix, particularly when it is 115 degrees outside. What everyone else, except Palm Springs and Las Vegas residents, considers "hot" we consider "cooling off" in summer.
  21. If I lived in a place where the streets were teeming with people I would wear a mask outdoors. The fact is, in Phoenix we don't have a lot of people walking around, so it is easy to maintain a distance. I'm heading to the farmer's market this morning and will wear a mask.
  22. That's my cat Linus, except he jumps on the bed and gets comfy.
  23. I do not wear a mask outdoors because it is uncomfortable, particularly in the Arizona heat. I also find it difficult to breathe wearing a mask while exercising. I don't have any difficulty breathing while shopping or waiting for an elevator or sime such. There are cyclists and runners who wear face masks, coronacrisis notwithstanding, to keep dust and insects out of their mouth and nose.
