He responded as he did because you came across as cheap the way you approached a well known and popular in demand escort with the first words out of your mouth being “Do you have a 30 minute rate?” You’re missing the point here. I think he was much more polite to you than your implication was to him.  

To spell out his response, he said, "My value is not just your clockwatching minutes, but also the time to prepare, to look my best, a hundred other things that are included in that price and that can't be chosen a la carte."

Maybe he should have said, "Sure, but I won't prepare first.  Meet at yours.  My travel time included within those 30 minutes."

You asked if he had a 30 minute rate and he quoted 300. He clearly did not. 

At that point, you should have simply moved on if that’s what you wanted.  My personal stance is that I don’t negotiate pricing. If they give me a rate I don’t like I simply say thanks anyway and move on. 

Also moved this to the Lounge as it’s more of a general discussion rather than info about a specific person, etc.

Most of the time I can easily be out in less than an hour, unless I find that I’m really not feeling the escort once I meet him & it takes me a long time to come or don’t come at all during the appointment. I would never ask an escort if they have a 30 minute rate.

My 2 cents, it is unprofessional on your part to ask an escort what is the rate for 30 min knowing that it’s always minimum an hour. With all my respect, one advice for you, if you want an escort to take any of your request seriously never ask for 30 min. This sounds ridiculous.

He told you his rate for anything up to one hour:  $300.
I think the provider dodged a bullet.  And makes logical arguments substantially better.  And isn't the one who feigned offense or false indignation when called out.
He should've deleted without responding.

 

For me it’s not one or the other.  You either have good judgement or you don’t.  With all of the info given with his side hustles and social media posting, he’s shown he does not have good judgment which is something we expect as a standard for our judicial officers.

The provider likes to come to this website and register a bunch of accounts pretending to be members (to the point where he creates hundreds of random posts in other forums to try and mask what he's doing) as a way to promote and defend himself.   Given how he has interacted with me and how he's treated this site, we do not recommend this provider in any way and will simply be locking any future topics about him.

To circle back on this...  
StarGZ has magically made his way back to spam more than 100 people via PM with a plea of innocence.   This heartfelt plea of someone who is not the provider and not in any way related to @pdxrick also just happens to only refer to me as "Radiobob".   This matches other behavior where the provider created nearly a dozen accounts and flooded the site with short 1-2 word replies in an effort to make it appear they were not only defending the provider.  (Anyone remember the Deli having literally 3 pages of replies each with just a couple of words?) I've never done this before, but I recommend our members not hire or interact with this provider in any way.  
He clearly has issues with telling the truth and potentially other mental health issues as well. (Note: I'm not a doctor and I'm not qualified to diagnose issues.  This is simply my own personal observation from interactions with the provider across over a dozen accounts.)
Going forward, any further topics around this provider will automatically be locked with a reply directing people back to this thread.  This site will not be used to create a false narrative using fake accounts to promote/defend a provider.  

As a consumer I find these posts and comments so strange. Usually when guys find a gem they keep it to themselves for fear of the guy being overwhelmed and prices going up and hence less available. This fan club cheering is so strange and almost makes me want to avoid him.
