  1. Federal prosecutors have a 90%+ conviction rate, but Combs is a celebrity. Case is listed as: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA V. SEAN COMBS, a/k/a "Puff Daddy," a/k/a "P. Diddy," a/k/a "Diddy," a/k/a "PD," a/k/a "Love," Defendant. What will his convict name be?
  2. We now know that he's a violent thug however you regard his look (I'd swipe left). Was the victim attracted to a dangerous bad boy, prone to downplay any signs of erratic behavior, being extorted, or something else? Murders are usually committed by someone known to the victim, so I also find it interesting that there were many texts between them and yes, he did not seem like the sort of person that a surgeon would typically socialize with, which would be a reason for the police to dig deeper.
  3. Liberace wasn't the only guy fond of expensive bling: The biography of bling WWW.CNN.COM From modest chains to the “Hope Diamond of hip-hop,” these photos map the evolution of rappers’ jewelry
  4. Tattoos serve to highlight the effects of aging on the skin.
  5. That's too broad for me. After getting burned, I will only consider Asians and Columbians with a good track record.
  6. Don't know if it's a majority but fraud (fake pics, no massage ability, stealing, etc.) seems to be more common in newer ads by Asians and Columbians.
  7. I also haven't seen a stat that there has been a 50% chance (!) of developing Long Covid with earlier or later variants. "At the pandemic’s onset, approximately 10% of people who suffered COVID-19 infections went on to develop Long COVID. Now, the risk of getting Long COVID has dropped to about 3.5% among vaccinated people (primary series)." article (study)
  8. "Overall, 16% reported ongoing symptoms a year later, and 3.6% reported moderate-to-severe impairment in their daily activities. ...similar to the 3.4% with ongoing impairments after influenza." link
  9. I assume it's tobacco: cigs or e-cigs/vape. Most put weed/420 in a separate category.

  11. President Clinton: "It depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is. If the – if he – if "is" means is and never has been that is not – that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement."
  12. Definitely a good idea. Some will go elsewhere if it takes too long to book an appointment.

  15. Queer is also associated with postmodern language/power games that queer big bad binaries. They seem to think that they have amassed enough power to continue to play their tedious language games without the protection of free speech rights. They're wrong as usual. ETA: 80%+ of people who identify as queer are middle-class females (desperately trying to be hip). I see no reason to categorize myself with people with whom I have virtually nothing in common.
  16. My guess: Provincetown has a much smaller, more transient gay population compared to the Palm Springs area.
  17. In all but a couple of states, merchants are allowed to charge a "convenience fee" for using a credit card when credit cards are not the usual method of payment for the business. So if the merchant normally accepts cash and debit cards for payment, then it may charge a convenience fee for using a credit card. As a result of settlement with Mastercard/VISA in 2013, merchants may impose a blanket "surcharge" for using a credit card if it is disclosed up front.
  18. Or stop being so self-conscious about your age. Wouldn't be surprised if some masseurs are reacting to your negative vibes.
  19. Previous thread on Turcoman
  20. Too bad. I wanted to try him when I had the chance to get to La Habra, but the link doesn't work, so he's probably not accepting new clients.
