In actual movies, the acting by the main characters in Power of the Dog is amazing, more so for the wife, the son and the brother I think, but Phil (Cumberbatch) is definitely complex. Personally I think Nicholas Cage in Pig is under-rated as is Jake Gyllenhaal in The Guilty. I actually liked Jake a little better than the also-great Danish original and I think the racial troubles last year caused The Guilty to be ignored. Cumberbatch is outstanding in The Courier OTOH I'm not sure how Will Smith's "acting" or the story in King Richard is remotely competitive.  I'll see how the new Macbeth is reviewed before i venture into it but I'm skeptical. I plan to enjoy Belfast when it's not $20 but don't expect to be awed. 

For a happy holiday-ish movie this year I really like The Electrical Life of Louis Wain. Great warm true story. Cumberbatch has  4 hits this year. 

After Nine Perfect Stangers I've got Nicole Kidman overload though and may just skip The Ricardos thing until I can forget the 9 Strangers "acting".

I know several (seemingly) responsible friends who decided to go. They have taken enough precautions and not going to see their elderly parents anytime soon... so i guess it's a calculated risk. I however wouldn't even get on a plane to celebrate a good friend's bday in Maui.

Escorts provide a particular service. They can be (and I might argue, should be) compared, at from a compensation perspective, to other service providers with like levels of education and expertise. The fact that the work is illegal might make it worth a bit more, for the risk, but that doesn’t make it worth that much more. 

I agree with you that 2000 an overnight is a lot to pay for someone to sleep next to you. Unless, it’s someomne I really like or enjoy outside the bedroom, I rarely do overnights and rather just save the annoyance of having to adjust to someone‘s sleeping and waking habits, and hire for a few hours.  

I regard playing with escorts  more as a hobby like antique collecting. For which desirability is the driving factor. Ask yourself how desirable is the experience? Does gazing at/playing with him make you happy? Dima (Dimitry) is real nice. Have had great times with him when he lived in NYC. Great ass and very accommodating.

A cabaret/restaurant in midtown I went to just notified their guests that a server tested positive and they were notifying us to self monitor for symptoms and test for covid 5 days after exposure. This is exactly what I don't need before my christmas trip to Toronto  

Plus, 2 of my acquaintances despite being boosted are already in quarantine for covid. So yeah, this is very prevalent....
