I use only shower gel. It's been ages since the last time I saw a bar of soap.

It's usually because they don't want to admit they don't have visible abs anymore.

When I started on my coming out journey in the late 70s/early 80s, I spent a lot of time in WeHo, the Castro, Provincetown, Fire Island, Mykonos, Ibiza... I never felt any shame.  I met many great people and we all had a lot of fun.  I am so glad I was gay in my 20s/30s during that time instead of queer in my 20s/30s today.  So much more fun meeting people in bars , than meeting people on Grindr.

I fail to grasp the logic of doing this. Do these guys enjoy being rejected? see doors slam on their face?

I've been using TikTok recently because it is the preferred platform for a couple of interesting guys I met, and technically is the worst piece of software I've ever seen. Full of bugs. It makes Grindr and instagram look flawless.

I have to say I agree with the view that the gay ghettos are not interesting to me.  I find Weho and Wilton Manors way over the top on the gayness scale. It’s just too much for me. I don’t need to be surrounded by gayness to feel comfortable and to have fun. I do travel to Ft Lauderdale fairly frequently but It’s only because of Johnson’s. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be going there.

That joy did not pass my notice.
But I know these gentlemen were incapable of that sense of joyfulness outside of their safe-space.
Most of my younger gay friends have no problem enjoying a mainstream venue to hangout / make-out / hook-up etc. with same sex partners. They aren't afraid to grind on the dance floor with another boy while their female friends watch and cheer them on in his sexual pursuit.
To me ..this is a far more evolved community that should be more comfortable because they enjoy a more diverse system of emotional support. Not just other gays.

At my hotel, obviously. Usually at the bar. We have a drink and then go upstairs.

This is a hobby for the upper middle class and low rich. The top 1% live in a different universe. 

Old fashion as in clubs and parks, not for me. Upscale shopping area, restaurants and bars, YES!

I posted about someone in Copenhagen and it was moved to the Europe section. I've never got a response back from threads moved to Europe.
I suggest to whoever runs this forum to rethink how it is organised and change the US centric organisation.

I salute your eco conscience. No underwear, less water waste for growing and producing cotton. And you turned the burdensome change of socks to a seasonal thing. Kudos! Do you observe four seasons or two?

I shower twice a day. In the morning to wake up and in the evening because I like it. I try to keep it short. In the evening, sometimes when I stay in, I take a long bath listening to music and having my drink. Scent is very important for me. I use Black Amber in shower, shampoo, candles...
