I think Thats exactly it. Their biggest money makers are the escorts. And you have to continually renew to keep a review up even if it sticks and of course invites retaliation from the provider (blackmail, intimidation, etc). I think the “5 star reviews are primarily other escorts or the “company” they work for. I think there are people who give Russian mafia is a real thing, trust me.

That’s my experience too. Don’t trust rentmen reviews. They took down my 1 star on BoyCzech (or whatever his name is now) cuz the escort says we never met.
