I've been here for over 20 years, on and off. When I left it was for a number of reasons but I never cancelled my account. I just stepped back and pursued other interests.
A few years ago I just logged in and lo and behold my account and password were still active and here I am still. Life goes on.😀

Just another point, antibiotic development is not particularly profitable for drug companies.  As opposed to daily medications such as statins or blood pressure medication, antibiotics are taken as needed and as such sales are many times higher in the daily drugs.  In order for medicine to keep up with mutations which lead to drug resistance, companies are going to have to have a financial incentive to increase research in this field.

While resistant gonorrhea is going to become a larger and larger problem, at this time, the routine treatment for gonorrhea is cheap and effective in most cases in most places.  There are pockets of areas where there is a larger percentage of resistant strain gonorrhea and in those areas a drug which is effective against the resistant bacteria is beneficial.  While the article states that eventually the treatment cost will be as inexpensive as treatment for GC is now, that will occur only after the developing company has lost its patent, at least that will be the case in the US.  So given the likely high initial cost, the possibility of resistance to this drug developing from overuse and the relative effectiveness of the present treatment, this advance initially only will make a small difference in the manner in which GC will be treated,    Prevention is still the best course of action.  Public health efforts such as legalization of sex work and required testing for sex workers in order to locate and treat unsuspected cases of the disease would also slow the development of a more resistant GC dominant strain.  But the bacteria always win these races.  Encouragement of use of condoms,( I know I know I know no one wants to hear that) is another potential brake on the eventual collision of humans and super resistant GC.

Right, the mid20teens Phase 2 study results provide clues to the Phase 3 results media release emphasis on zoliflodacin’s noninferior urogenital infection cure rate. All subjects had urogenital infection as it was the inclusion criterion. As in Phase 2, the recent trial cure rates for simultaneous pharyngeal or rectal infection were evaluated and compared to standard treatment. If noninferiority criteria had been met for either of those secondary outcome infection sites, albeit sufficiently statistically powered (unlike Phase 2), I assume it would have been enthusiastically mentioned.
On top of that, there is the high cure rate requirement gold standard of 95% which was probably not satisfied for pharyngeal infection treatment with zoliflodacin if consistent with Phase 2 trends, even though Phase 3 dosing was the more effective higher dose of Phase 2 dose escalation.
We will have to wait for the data to be peer reviewed but it appears to be more promising for Adam & Eve than for Adam & Yves. The former also benefit from the more overt symptom presentation of urethral and cervical gonorrhea whereas pharyngeal and rectal infection is usually detected, latently if at all, via routine screening.

good question re; types of guys.
From my recent visits - most of the working men are guy next door types, depending on your country of residence Most were very fit and lightly muscled with a few twinks and a few I’d consider bearish.  It was not overrun with twinks as some posts here indicate.  I can see where some older guys may perceive “twink” just because as a whole, it’s a younger group of men working - I didn’t see it that way tho.  There were no steroid bodybuilders or huge muscle guys. Thermas did have some bodybuilders around before the pandemic, I haven’t seen them there since.  The majority of the working guys are Brazilian & same as you’d find at Lagoa - a few have actually worked at Lagoa which is not surprising.  Age range is 20 -35 with the majority in the middle.

In BCN, there seems to be some cross-over between sauna guys and online guys, however very few.  The sauna guys can be taken off-site for 100euros, but that’s not for a full hour - more like 40 minutes. Standard rate for online guys is 150/per hour - if they think you are American/Canadian/Australian the quote is frequently higher. Research all the online sites in Spain (Hungz, Telechapero, Rentmen) & when making contact do not tell them you found them on RM - that’s almost always a much higher rate because it’s the go to site for Americans.  Also helps if you contact people from a non-US identifiable phone number if possible. And use google translate to Spanish even tho that is obvious sometimes.  If an online guy quotes more than 150hour, find someone else because there are plenty.
A provider friend in BCN recently gave me a stern warning to be very careful with online guys because of frequent & heavy drug use (crystal meth) it’s very common and leads to other things like petty theft, performance issues, etc. There is some drug use in the sauna too, but mostly just smoking weed.

In BCN, the sauna is the best choice for most as you can see exactly what you’re getting in a controlled safe environment with lots of options.  I like to stay very close to Thermas so I can come & go as it’s open 24/7.  They don’t allow re-entry, so that’s an extra cost but minimal for what you get. Lots of good restaurant options within a block or two makes it all very easy, safe & civilized.
PM me if you need hotel recommendations.  Enjoy !

I had forgotten the pandas were on loan; I guess the bloom's now off that rose of friendship. I've seen them several times in DC and always found them both adorable as well as perpetually indolent, making them role models as I've grown older. If the National Zoo would upgrade the menu from bamboo to lasagna and Laphroaig, I might be willing to take their place on weekends. In a tux, of course, to maintain the color palette.

Fair point, but I think that risk exists in almost any rental situation unless you are seeing someone you already know. My building records all visitors, and the cameras are quite evident to folks as they walk into the foyer and enter the elevator. In NYC at least, many providers live in less desirable parts of town, so I think the risk is greater when one is entering one of these dwellings while likely carrying a large amount of cash.

True story - I had a regular I would see in East Harlem. One time I got into the elevator with a woman who, without asking, immediately pushed the button for the floor to which I was headed. I smiled and asked her "how did you know?"  In an unfriendly tone, she replied "there's only one reason men like you come into my building, and he's on the 16th floor."

I visited Montreal over Halloween weekend and went to Campus Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Usually got there after 10. Thursday night was a little slow (it was raining off and on), but Friday and Saturday were really busy.
    Mathieu / Matthew
Handsome, hairy, muscular bearded guy. Agree with another post that he is really big and beefy. Hairy all over in a good way, I especially liked his hairy chest and torso. He's friendly when approaching you and is willing to chat a bit and not pushy about lap dances. I did have a dance with him, and he took everything off by the middle of the first song and it got better from there. It was really hot. Unlike the rest of the dancers who wore tight boxer brief style underwear, he wore blue bikini cut briefs which really showed off his dick, ass and thick hairy thighs.
    Max
Dark hair, clean shaven, muscular with shoulder and chest tattoos. Wore a black NY Yankees baseball cap. I was standing at the raised area in front of the pool table behind the drink ledge, and Max stood in front of me just one step down. He was standing so close, and I couldn't stop staring at the muscles of his broad back and his handsome profile. I got a lap dance, and it was great, very slow and sensual.
    Damon
He's a tall blond guy, clean shaven, no tattoos. I chatted with him a few times, and he seems really nice and friendly. He's from Quebec but could pass as a corn fed Midwestern guy. His bright green boxer briefs looked really great on him, and it showed off his big dick.
    Sam
Muscular, bearded with a very hairy chest. Also had a dance with him. The first thing he did was pull my legs towards him so I was in a bit more of a reclining angle. That was unexpected but also hot. It seemed to help him maintain body contact, so that was all good with me. I liked brushing my face against his hairy chest and squeezing his muscular ass and feeling his strong arms. As was mentioned in another post he has an OnlyFans.
    Alex
Muscular, smooth body. He has a handsome face with stubble. Wore a Blue Jays cap. Very friendly, personable and chatty. Beautiful XL dick. In the back his light kisses and hot breaths on my neck made me delirious. He'd also kiss closer and closer to my mouth which was so hot, and I liked how his stubble felt against my face. At one point in the dance he was straddling me facing away, and he bends forward. So he's in my lap grinding against me, and I have full view of his muscular back tapering down to his tight waist and sweet ass. Also his skin is so soft and felt so smooth over his muscled chest, arms and back.
    Valentino
I think he's gorgeous, I could stare him all day. He has a few more tattoos on his arms and a small one on his neck since the last time I saw him. His arms, shoulders, chest and ass look bigger and his abs are more lean and cut. Stage performances were great with a lot of fast acrobatic dance moves. Sexy all around, but his second dance where he shows his hard dick just makes my mouth water.
    Mossimo
Very tightly muscular so more on the lean side rather than beefy. He has a lot of tattoos. His second dance he reveals a dick that's really long and hard that sticks straight out.
    Zayne
Handsome young blond guy. Looked great from when I saw him before, but he also looks like he's put on more muscle. I think he was only there on Friday night, but he was very popular.
    Chuck Conrad
I didn't know who he was at first, but he looked familiar (he's one of the porn stars mentioned on the Campus website). Big hairy chested guy with a long beard. He was there on Saturday, and did a 2 set on stage.
So that's the short list that I can remember, but there were plenty of other great looking guys there. Campus seems to have a lot of regular dancers and also a solid group who rotate in. Over the course of three nights there were probably over 20+ guys (maybe more) who danced and/or worked the floor.
Overall the trip was great fun. Guys were hot and the lap dances memorable. Already thinking about when to plan my next visit.

EZEtoGRU reacted to + BenjaminNicholas in 2023-24 shapes up to be a Broadway season of revivals
Funny Girl was doing very badly before they stunt cast Lea Michele.  A brilliant move that paid producers back.
They also celeb cast the Music Man revival.  The reviews of the show in the trades weren't exactly kind, but audiences ate it up.  Hugh Jackman is box office gold.
Audiences aren't shying away from shows with issues (Kimberly Akimbo, Merrily, Good Night Oscar, etc), but they always show up to musicals with big names.
Plenty of other musicals that were splashy and shiny closed (NYNY, Once Upon a One More Time, Camelot, Dancin', Bad Cinderella).
Bottom line, there's the NYC audiences and then there are the tourists.  The Manhattan audiences can't keep a show open single handedly, so it's up to the whims of tourists to fill in the sizable gap.  This usually includes seeing someone 'famous' performing live in a currently running show.
@Marc in Calif is correct that producers are shying away from the smaller shows, as many of their larger show investments aren't paying back as quickly (or at all).  As per the usual, Broadway producers have a few big hits that allow them to invest in the artistic risks.  With theater rents going up and production budgets at an all time high ($15+ million for a new, small musical), I can't blame them for investing in splashy names.
