EZEtoGRU got a reaction from JulianLondon in How old do you want to live to be?
I want to live for as long as the living is good. No more and no less.

EZEtoGRU got a reaction from samhexum in Actors you can't stand (mannerisms, voice, looks, roles chosen, etc.)
I don't strongly dislike any actor. For some reason, my mom hates Courtney Cox and Tina Fey. She won't watch anything that either of those two are in. I think Tina Fey, in particular, is very clever.

That's the main problem with most of the fansonly/justforfans sites. There are not enough updates to justify the ongoing monthly membership cost. I find the best strategy is to sign-up for a one month non-recurring membership. Check-out all the archived content and then the new content for that month and then let the membership lapse at the end of the month. Join again in 12 months and repeat.

Met him several years ago a few times for breakfast, dinner, and/or a Jimmy Z show in his native southern California.....he leaned toward an energetic "alpha"-type of dude and the first time we met up at a Ventura Blvd restaurant he was dressed in all black and looked like an FBI agent!......I remember he got into a slight tussle with another patron at the Jimmy Z show!.......after a successful real-estate career, he cashed out, left a much-changed LA area ("it was paradise here when I was a kid", he told me), and moved to Ft. Lauderdale to live the life on the Intracoastal with his much-loved boat docked out back.......
his postings here tapered off a good bit in the last couple or three years, but longtime forum members will remember him......

These are not your friends. I can't imagine anyone with any decency inviting someone to their house when they have gastrointestinal issues. With Covid on scene it is just plain unthinkable.

Your "friends" have shown horrible judgement. They could have sought your medical advice via phone/text/email. Hopefully, your kindness and consideration have not endangered your health.

Although I rarely visit the Gallery sub-forum I’d agree ??Perhaps those trying to maximize their post count can focus their attention to just that forum?

No surprise the restrictions have been extended given how bad things are still in much of the US. This may continue through the end of the year unfortunately. All the best to our friends in Montreal We miss you!!

Thanks for the heads up! I also noticed on their facebook page that they will only be open Wednesday through Sunday. I guess that means no more Tuesday nights at Stock for now. I hope things go well for them this time.

Hand washing isnt always an option. When I use the subway (which is almost every day) I use hand sanitizer when I exit the station - who knows how many grubby hands grabbed on to the same pole I had to hold on to? It serves a purpose even when it is not the best solution... ?

EZEtoGRU reacted to + FrankR in Which store-bought hand sanitizer to use?
Germ-X is an excellent choice. The other option would be Suave - they have a sanitizer spray that is also well regarded. If you can't find a gel, maybe this mist spray will be a good alternative.

EZEtoGRU reacted to Spursy in Which store-bought hand sanitizer to use?
As I understand the situation from news reports, the problem with certain Mexican-made sanitizers was that their active ingredient was methanol, which is toxic when absorbed. The usual active ingredient for safe hand sanitizers is isopropyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol.
This next bit I learned from the CDC website: if the active ingredient is isopropyl alcohol, then it should be at least 70% of the product by volume; if it is ethyl alcohol, it should be at least 60%. So, in theory, the ingredient list should tell the tale of what is safe and effective and what is not.
Germ-X is another reputable brand that has been around for a while and, at least in my neck of the woods, has been easier to find in stores than Purell.

Look to make sure "made in Mexico" isn't on the packaging. Some mom and pop stores aren't careful with noticing recalls - or don't care in order to make an extra buck.
