I find MSNBC's Jacob Soboroff sexy in a nice way. Perhaps it's the glasses. He does a lot of exposing the government about immigration news. I believe he recently released a book on the whole subject.
 

Does anyone remember this Sunday night event?
Was such a great night. I wished someone would bring it back.
They seemed to get some incredible men. 
I particularly remember Gary Grant and Paris. There were others but I can't remember their names. 
 

In Chicago, our gay neighborhood used to be called Boystown - a mile and a half stretch of gay bars, restaurants, shops, a bathhouse, sex shows, and cute boutiques.  It is lined with rainbow pillars all up and down the street, and exhibits plaques honoring famous gay Chicago residents.  But it is changing.  Last month the official name was changed from "Boystown" to North Halsted Merchant's Association in deference to the "Boy" connotation (but most everyone still calls it Boystown).  In addition, many of the bars and shops have closed - some due to the Covid pandemic but some of those closings have occurred before Covid.  I am hoping that when things get back to normal, some of those empty storefronts will be filled.

Well you can't believe how surprised I was this morning to open up the Chicago Tribune and find a front page  article, complete with pictures,  about a new gay bar opening in Chicago!  This bar called, Nobody's Darling, is in our secondary GAYborhood in Chicago, called Andersonville.  You could have pushed me over with a drink stirrer!

Another recollection from that time is "buying" one of those male physique mags and seeing a picture of this hot James Dean type in a G-string. According to a local newspaper yesterday, the school district has asked the DOE’s Office for Civil Rights to conduct an independent investigation to determine if the student’s civil rights were violated.  Nothing more on the principal at this point. 
 
The principal crumpling the student’s notes made it clear, IMO, that he was annoyed.  I don’t think he anticipated the crowd’s reaction.  The A/V guy may have realized the crowd was upset and by handing him another mic avoided an even uglier scene.

Madrigal's did get some of the better known porn stars in for strip gigs, and the private parties were fun. There used to be similar parties at Jackhammer on Sunday afternoons but those ended a few years ago too. 

Oh!  Madrigals!   I had forgotten.  How I loved that place and the private parties help upstairs by the owner.  I visited his bar in New Orleans but it didn't last.  I wonder what happened to him.

I was there from June 5 though June 14.  Poppies report is still accurate. I prefer Leboy as a bar as its not quite so busy and the dancers are a bit more fun. 
Johnsons is putting more twinks up earlier in the evening around 6 and bringing their beefier guys in later in the evening around 9–10.  
 
Overall its always a good time in South Florida. Regardless of where you end up, you can have a good time.  My only disappointment was Boardwalk. The restaurant and bar outside was great but on the three times I stopped by, I never really clicked with any of the dancers. It was a lot of the “same ol” with guys who are overly aggressive and pushy.

Let me revive this thread for (almost) post-Covid 2021. Any new clubs or opportunities to meet up with go-go boys? Clubs with strippers? Best places/opportunities to meet guys who are up for an escort session back at the hotel?

Quick update on Ft. Lauderdale over the weekend of June 3rd:

Good food and good service at our usual favorites , Rosie's, Bo's Beach and Georgie's Alibi.
Boardwalk: Didn't go. So many amazing memories of eating outside, the car wash with dancers washing your car during Sunday brunch, and hot times inside the club. Pretty sure walking down memory lane would disappoint.
In all bars, and all restaurants, no face masks to be seen.

LeBoy: Twinks are not my favorite, but they did have a few really hot young men. Gone is the lap dance "menu". $10 wrist band and $20 per song. One lap dance in the very private back. Experience did NOT disappoint.
Johnsons: First night went really early. Only 2 dancers on stage. Both twinks. YES, twinks at Johsons. As the evening progressed, more men, hot men, mostly muscled men, a good amount of ink. Had a lap dance with a favorite! Awesome hairy muscled man with a great personality and an evil grin. Spotted in the audience was porn star Drake Jaden. Spotted on stage was Kenzo/Alejandro. Looking SO good. I asked him if he was from Montral. HUGE grin on his face.
So glad to live in driving distance to this great city. Glad it's just far enough away or I'd go broke.

Yes, I remember the "seedy reputation" The Shoe had back in the day, LOL, although I sort of liked it. The dancers that I saw the other night were more the "masculine hunky types" that you described. There were no twinkly types that night much to my dismay. More dancers tend to be there on the weekends. The dancer that I knew that night, was the only one I recognized; the rest seemed new to me. I'm not sure the last time you were there, but Micah has really renovated the place and cleaned it up. There are three rooms there now - each with its own bar. And the middle room with the recessed floor in the middle has been leveled so no one is falling down the steps as they enter.
