Has anyone been to Johnsons since it reopened? Has Boardwalk reopened as well?

Don't get so concerned about the other patrons when you're out in a club - you're there to have a great time and that will always be evident to the dancers. If there's a New York lawyer spending his quarterly bonus on the same night you happen to stop in, he'll get attention, sure. But, you money is the same green color, and, surprise, some performers will enjoy being around a respectful, happy, and fun client. A night out is what you make of it, enjoy yourself!

BJ Roosters is similar to Corner Pocket, the guys dance on the bar in their underwear. They do have private booths, where I definitely got my money's worth. Very wide range of guys from twinks to muscles. There's also pool to keep the evening low key and sociable. Drink prices are cheaper than Swinging Richards. I would definitely go back.

Just heard that Johnson’s is opening back up tonight! Anyone planning on going soon? Interested what the new normal will be there with dances and all.

Well, it's kind of depressing that my posts here about these clubs have gone unnoticed. But, nonetheless, bjroosters is Atlanta's other strip club. The dancers dance on the bar in their underwear and are available for private dances in curtained-off private booths. In the back, it's $20 a song, and what goes on is determined by agreement between the dancer and patron before going back.

So far only 2 nights into my 9 night trip. Swinging Richards and BJ Roosters in Atlanta are awesome. Some of the same men I've seen at other clubs across North America. Having a great time

Honestly Kippy it hasn't been a problem. Think of it like going to a Masquerade party lol. People are tired of staying home.

I got my first tattoo probably in my early 60s. I've been fascinated by them most of my life and finally decided there was no reason not to get a tattoo if I want one. I haven't been sorry - i love my tats. People will say condescending stuff about mid-life crises and such as though you're incapable of knowing your own mind. If you're SURE you want one, get one. Choose your artist carefully - there are a lot of bad ones out there. Many will congratulate you for doing something you really wanted to do. Some will not say a word about it. Some will be curious about what it "means."

I suggest ink if it's a design that truly means something to you: Enough that you'd want it on your body permanently.
 
Just copying what someone else has, out of lust or social emulation, seems a little silly to me.
 
Bottom line, you do you. Don't let people age-shame you on this. If it makes you happy, that's all that matters.

Based on another thread, it looks like Swinging Richards might be opening tonight. I took the chance and booked a trip to Atlanta for Labor Day. I'm sure I'll have fun exploring the city no matter what (first time there), and hopefully SR will be open and can be the icing on the cake.

It's tucked in the woods back behind one of the ladies strip clubs at Five Corners- I do wonder how many guys have gone out there and gave up, thinking they've been victims of a funny joke?

After checking out the changes at Silverado, Portland's older gay strip club, I figured it would be wise to scope out the doings at Stag PDX, the newer club. After 5 years in business, but in a much smaller premises, I was curious about the changes they had undergone in order to reopen.
 
First, of course, they are under the 10pm curfew which all liquor establishments are following, for the rest of the year probably. So, their dancers are performing 6 to 10 pm. Club entry requires a temperature test with a scanner, a spritz of hand sanitizer, and acceptance of a written card explaining the COVID regulations being followed in the club. No cover on a Wednesday night- $5 on Friday and Saturday. Inside the club, social distancing is enforced with staggered seating for about 25 patrons. The service bar is roped off and you must stand away from the bar after getting your drink order- no loitering at the bar, they are looking for you to get your drink, and then take a seat in the stage area. They do provide four seating areas at the stage rail, right where the dancers are performing, as well as seven or eight seating groups along the wall and in front of the lap dance booths. With Wednesday being amateur night, there were a couple of groups there to cheer on their friends having their first onstage experience.
 
With only having been reopened for a couple of weeks, some of the old time regular dancers were not yet returned. All the faces were new to me- at least what you can see of their faces. All dancers and staff were masked up, patrons must have masks on while moving about the club, OK to unmask when seated at a table. People here are used to the mask practice, and I saw no resistance to the policy from any patron. Favorite dancer for me was Venus, a slim, buzz cut flexible honey. Athletic dance with a fine butt, took my breath away just a wee bit. Next was Andreas, a fair skinned, dark haired European, (couldn't place the accent, Portuguese or Malta, maybe?) thickly muscled and active. My favorite amateur was King, a stocky Blond rugby type- a bit chunky but not afraid to work the pole and jump around.
 
One of the things I've always appreciated about Stag is their open acceptance concerning persons in transition, both FTM and MTF. One of the amateurs that night was Lily, a transitioning MTF person performing, even with their breasts being bandaged from a recent medical procedure. It's a brave choice to to that work while "under construction", and that is appreciated. Unfortunately, what I didn't appreciate was the lack of full nudity from any of the 12 dancers working. It may he been because it was amateur night, or the fact of a small house crowd, but when I go to a strip club, the "strip" part is important.
 
I did take two dancers to the lap dance booths- $20 plus tip for 5 mins, and no nudity but both guys were appreciate and active, almost to a fault. Both dancer and patron have to be masked, and hand sanitized after you leave the booth.
 
All in all, I'm glad I went, tho disappointed with the lack of nudity. We'll have to see if that is an anomaly due to the current circumstance, of a change in club philosophy in general. Stay tuned....

BnB is an old school boys on the bar strip club weeknights, like the Corner Pocket in NOLA. You get a lotta up close and personal attention for your dollars. And there is always the option of lap dances and VIP rooms as well. The problem is the location. The club is out in the rural Illinois countryside. Taxi and ridesharing is problematic. You will need to rent a car for 20-30 minutes drive to get there.

I agree with pdxleo. Quite a difference between the two venues. The big difference being that at Boxers you can get in on the action as opposed to just watching. And Boxers is still open. They post on FB on almost a daily basis. But which ever venue you choose, please report.

Please don't assume that. I actually have similar scars and they are simply from a bad circumcision that caused a (non-STD) skin infection when I was a baby. I've had them my whole life. Most guys are absolutely fine with it but every once in a while you get somewhat judgmental who think it's some horrible STD. Every dick looks different and it's much better just to ask politely than assume the worst.

So while not quite the same as going to Stock Bar or Swinging Richards, I have long wanted to attend this annual fundraiser event in NYC and maybe 2021 will be the year. This year it will be done virtually on August 1 and I will plan to watch.
