The crime rate in the City of Chicago is higher than New York's. The current post-protest crimes notwithstanding, most of it occurs in poverty-stricken areas of the South and West sides. So that is about point one percent of the US population dead by the end of the year from this disease. A much larger number die from other causes in any year.
