Hi, I’ve had the privilege of communicating with some of Guy/daddy’s friends on the West Coast. They’ve known him for close to 50 years. They’ve worked together, lived together, and just hung out. One of them was daddy’s Advocate while he was in the hospital. Needless to say, daddy’s passing had a major impact on them. One of the friends recently emailed me and provided some pictures. He said if anyone is interested to share them. He also wrote about some interesting stories, for example, back in the ‘90’s, daddy officiated at their wedding. Yes, he wore many hats. If anyone would like to see these pictures send me a PM with your email address. For me, that’s the easiest way to do it.

It’s nice to put a face to the name.

Saddened about the news but glad he's out of suffering. I changed our profile photo in his honor. Nice to have it as a remembrance. We didn't really know that much about him, but he was always kind, considerate, engaging and a little naughty. Exactly the type of person we love to love. ♥

Update: Friday, March 26th: called the hospital to get an update on Guy’s condition. It’s now 1 month since he was found unconscious on the floor of his apartment.
 
Some changes from Monday’s update.
He now has the tracheotomy replacing the tube down his throat. He’s no longer being sedated or receiving any pain medication. He’s unresponsive to any commands and hasn’t opened his eyes this week. His blood pressure remains high. I asked about his organs. This is the 1st time I was told he’s on dialysis. He’s still on the ventilator and his skin sores are not healing.
 
This medical report was difficult for me to hear and I’m sure it’s difficult for all to read. We’ve been keeping Guy Fawkes/daddy in our thoughts and hoping for the best. As I mentioned earlier, he’s been unconscious for a month and the reports haven’t shown any signs of recovering.

Even though today sucks.
I want to come in here and let anyone that may be coming for the PS event that
I will be hosting my early bird pool gathering on Friday April 9th , 12 noon till - duskish.
Come any time stay as long as you like.
We will have plenty of food and drinks. If you have a request for alcohol please let me know in advance.
At some point in the afternoon I will be planting a citrus tree in my backyard for Daddy probably about 3pm.
I do hope you will come and help us celebrate our connection thanks in large part because of Daddy.

His passing touches us all. He was a man who dedicated his life to providing a Forum where men would feel free and comfortable talking about all sorts of topics that covered our life style.
 
Having worked with daddy since he started this site I got to see first hand how much he cared about people and viewed us as his family. He was a very bright man with a love for life. He will be missed.

I was shocked to read this yesterday. I am one of the guys based in Europe who's been traveling to the US on a regular basis. I remember my very first review on his website how excited I was! He's done so much for my work! Hope he is in a better place now. Bye Daddy ?

@Cooper - do you have any photos or pictures of the time spent working with Daddy? I was just thinking of a tribute to Daddy with photos over the years. Maybe we can do something special in the Gallery Forum in honor of Daddy? All of the many brilliant contributors to the Gallery could help out. Wouldn't that be special? I could only make the suggestion but unfortunately am not tech savvy when it comes to these things. I'm sure a lot of us forum guys would appreciate something like that. Think about it. Thank you. Feeling so very sad right now. You gentlemen have seen this lil' pasty-white cis-gendered straight gal through some shit for the past near-decade. Thank you, Daddy, for creating this safe -- and I dare say, sacred -- space. Long may it live. RIP.

This is a beautiful poem in honor of Daddy. Is it written by someone famous?

Daddy provided a great service to all of us thru his dedication and perseverance in maintaining these sites. I’m sure it was often a thankless job and there were probably times when he felt like chucking it all. We are all beneficiaries of the fact that he worked tirelessly to keep these sites going for as long as he possibly could. I hope that his work here gave him a sense of satisfaction and comfort as he struggled with his health issues and the challenges of coping with the pandemic.
 
Well done Daddy! I will forever be indebted to you for your service to the community of users of these sites.
