TSA is thankless and I can't imagine the shit they put up with on the daily. While I've complained in the past, I'm now always kind to them, even when they've having a bad day or adjusting the rulebook.

I really do have a Vietnamese BF. I am going through a little medical issue so couldn’t pick dates. Plus he can’t get a visa to come to the US . We live on Bangkok and spend time in Hanoi. Great airport to start your trips. I got about 20 phone calls from friends telling me about the fares. Most of my trips are on Cathay so would have been perfect.

My main problem is that people are confusing a K-spa with a gay bathouse.

I too fly often. Global Entry has been a godsend. Rarely do I encounter an unpleasant TSA person; however, there’s no doubt that many have the pre-1991 Aeroflot attitude!

some of us, I presume, have been checked by the dog at ATL??.....at least we didn't have to take our shoes off and stand in the x-ray.......(I don't have pre-check)
 
we all have our TSA horror stories, of course......and surprisingly nice stories, too.......a nice TSA woman at Midway helped spread my four Marshall Fields Frango mint gift boxes over four different trays so they'd pass the test........and two TSA supervisors at another airport, who I complained to when one poor little woman had to check all the flagged bags, causing a 15-20 minute delay for many passengers, shrugged their shoulders and gave me a thinly-veiled "fuck you" reply.......I said, "gee, they hate their jobs", and the harried little woman said, "I love mine!"......
 
not to be a pollyanna, but I try to be as efficient and polite as I can, smile, say "thank you", and move along......it's a mindless, thankless, low-paying job and I appreciate their work.......

Don't the flights begin in Hanoi, not South Vietnam. Nothing against North Vietnam. I know it has been just Vietnam for decades.

For a few hours over the New Year's holiday, Cathay Pacific mistakenly sold first class, lie-flat seats from Vietnam to Canada at a price of $675 round trip. Typically, those seats go for $16,000 round trip. (Yes, you read that right.)
 
Once the error was spotted, the airline fixed it. Airlines are not required to honor such fares. When they don't, they cancel any reservations made and inform ticket holders that they have to rebook their trips. In this case, because the gap between the correct and incorrect fares was so wide, most observers did not expect Cathay to honor the $675 fares. Today, Cathay announced via Twitter that it would:

As with everything, discuss what your expectations are beforehand.

I think it's about control... in this case I would suggest a client knowing his own schedule before bothering an escort. Unless the guy interested in hiring is a CEO I'm sure he's not that important to bother folks this way.
