As for contesting the comments I'm not sure. So far I have none for my number of choice. 
Are there any other sites/apps we should know about?

Provider has been using the same pictures for 10+ years and they were already outdated when he posted them on Craigslist back in the day. I would not recommend, when we met pictures did not match the individual. I do not believe his age in his rentmen profile is accurate. I will not repeat and would not recommend.

Then change it to say bottom and leave off the versatile. Plenty of escorts I know will put top/versatile because they are actually completely versatile but top attracts more clients. You've answered your own question, clients see versatile in your profile so they enquire. 
It is wasted time for all parties involved when the descriptors on the profile do not match the actual service offered. I really suggest changing it. 

Yesterday I scheduled a 2 hour session for Thursday night with a provider and he didn’t ask for a deposit when I booked. Just now he texted back saying he had other clients interested in our time slot and asked me to put down a deposit to hold the slot. I told him to let the other clients have my spot instead!

I use cash only in this industry. I’d have no problem with a deposit in some circumstances if there were an easy and secure way to do it anonymously.   

I have never paid a deposit, and I never will. 
Money Up Front seems to be a more common request, but the best guys never ask for either in my experience.

I've sent a deposit once and the guy scammed. Twice I paid before services rendered. The first, promptly told me, right after I gave him 300, that that was only for his company and even a massage would be extra. The second, I paid a masseur for three sessions in advance. After the first session he was always to busy to find time. 
The lesson, when you give over your leverage you lose all power and are then at the mercy of the provider; many of whom aren't exactly forthright.

I’ve never had a provider asked me for deposit, ever.
Why? My approach to them is also very serious, straightforward, and has a lot of substance behind it. I have a client profile with description and pictures. Reviews I have written are all on that profile. They’re visible to other providers. I give them my name and information about me and I ask meaningful questions of them.  
 
All of the above carries weight when the provider is doing the mental math on the ROI for engaging with me. Apparently they’ve all decided, for a pure business perspective, than I’m a client that is serious and don’t require a deposit and it’s worked out very well all around. 
 
YMMV. I’m sure there are providers out there with a very strict rule that they require a deposit from everyone. I just haven’t run into them.

I will not pay a deposit. If a provider requires one, then I move on and hire a provider who doesn't. If a provider finds that deposits work for them, that's great. But I won't send a deposit to someone I've never met with no independent way to recoup my offering if the meeting doesn't occur.

He doesn't get a pass, he changes his handle if there is some reference to him so any comments become untraceable.

I think pretty much every provider would prefer people don't discuss their clients' experiences on a forum (unless it's some kind of glowing reference!).

I finally took the plunge and met with this guy. He texted at the meeting time to say he would be an hour late. He showed up high an hour later. The guy who showed up did not match the profile at all. Height, description, pics all inaccurate. He immediately tucked the money into his sock which raised another red flag. He ignored everything we had discussed in advance and wanted to put a game on TV while I sucked him. I finally just told him to call it quits and leave. Lesson learned for me, and one of the few bad experiences I have had. You can PM me if you want any more details, but I would recommend to avoid.

I just got a reply from RM about my rate increase concern. They said as long as I have recurring auto-rebilling, it'll stay at 9.95.  We'll see at the next billing!
They also said that a lot of their current efforts are being put into the app platform. I'd expressed concern about not being able to login to the rentmen.eu version on my phone. They said rent.men is better to use than rentmen eu. 

No response….is a response. 
I just put them down on my "don’t contact again" list.

A new client of mine has brought this website to my attention, and from the looks of it, seems like I’ve had some derogatory things said  about me, mainly being my lips, and I have encountered some discrimination in unnecessary comments from people on the site, my question why? If a provider isn’t what you’re looking for move along, this seems to be the toxic masculinity problem, particularly in older, gay men were they expect every escort to be macho man Randy savage. It seems like some of them are stuck in the 80s or 90s when it’s already 2023, and I’ve read some of these post, and not just about myself, but about others. If you dont like the provider, just move along… 

You may! I don’t mind that. But it’s the lack of communication that is the problem. What stops someone from communicating that their plans changed? They changed their mind? Who asks for a time and then simply ignores you? I bet your clients don’t say ‘meet us for dinner at 7’ and then not turn up or not tell you where they are eating. 

I get that inflation affects everyone.  I can tell you that I didn't get a 25-33% raise recently, though, so trying to rationalize an increase from $300 to $400 per hour or $400 to $500 per hour doesn't make sense.  That being said, this is a market where providers can charge whatever they want and clients can decide to hire or not.  Sadly, my recent salary increases haven't even kept pace with inflation.

I don’t get what’s the point of bringing this provider up every few months just to bash him “thing” or “bizarre” 

Yesterday I received enquires via text from 13 people, and 8 others through the rentmen website - texting back and forth for varying amounts of time.  There was 3 bookings made as a result of this - one which never showed up, and then the other two cancelled within 30 minutes of their arrival time, after I had showered prepared for them. 
One message conversation was  "hi are you available" I replied within 3 minutes "hi! thanks for reaching out. yes I am available today." That was the end of the conversation no other message was sent.
However, most conversations are longer -  One client today had a long chat (over 57 text messages confirming address, availability, rates, a video chat to confirm I had sent real photos, discussion of wants/needs/desires for bookings, locations, payment types etc. this started at 10am and went off and on all day until This client then cancelled the booking 30 minutes before he was due to arrive and he said he was in another state and now not coming to NYC for another month. 
So that is roughly 20 enquires a day - which means I average I am chatting with roughly 140 people a week - MOST of whom have zero interest in making bookings, but instead get pleasure from simply engaging with providers. (This also does not include the amount of scammers that contact us DAILY as well.)

I think distinguishing who is genuine and who is not is probably the hardest part of this job. connecting with people and having sensual encounters are the easy and fun part. 
What happened to me today is not unusual - it is the norm, so I guess it makes us wary of who we can give our energy too until we meet, I know for sure the original poster would find that when clients and provider meet - every text after is fine! 
yeah Rentmen has had an issue with this that has been effecting both provider and clients- and it sounds like the issue has 'driven you crazy too!'. I think when we list the dates of travel as say for eg 1/12 - 1/15, it goes by Hamburg time, not the local time that is in that particular city the provider is in, as the rentmen website is based from there.  So we set the travel dates , and then the site is not reflecting that date in  real time - adding to the amount of 'double questions' we receive I guess.  
I agree  the reply you have written is much much better than the one you were sent. 
Apparently the new version of the website will be more clear and not leave profiles listed up in cities once the provider has left that city. I'm sorry that the providers you have dealt with have been so short and rude with you. Hopefully this particular issue is rectified now the site has been updated to minis that! 
I probably shouldn't have answered in this thread - I had just been advised of this forum and wanted to make a few posts so no one uses my name has a handle - and my comments were meant as friendly advice to get better results for you guys (and us)!

I am often frustrated when providers list nothing in the preferences section. Most of these "random" questions would be answered if they told us what they will and won't do. Kissing is a non-negotiable with me. If it is not listed I move on.
Having said that, unfortunately many providers check all the boxes in Preferences. Maybe it's true or maybe they didn't want to decided amongst the options. I have had men who checked kissing in preferences and as we chat about the meeting they say they don't kiss.
Along this line, if you know a provider who lists safe sex only, let them know that at least half of the "safe sex" men I've asked reply "No, but...." or Yes, if..."
