Of all the bad things that can happen with a new provider in a new place, I think being video-taped by a third party is one of the least likely.

It's against AirBNB rules to have hidden cameras in the apartment and all recording devices must be properly documented to guests before arriving. 
In many states, it's also illegal to record someone where they would have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
Certainly many apartments probably have Ring cameras and other outside surveillance and definitely the owner of an apartment could probably record you entering or exiting the apartment. But filming inside the apartment would very likely violate AirBnB rules and may be illegal.
Hotels almost certainly record whoever enters and exits their building as well. I'm not really sure that I buy that one is inherently more risky privacy-wise than the other. 

One of my regulars wanted to meet but my schedule wouldn't permit as I had a lot of zoom calls that day. He suggested getting me off under my glass table. That was not my request, but he offered to do so and it was quite hot seeing him on his knees sucking me off while I had to pay attention to the call.

Very true.  Some/most of my best experiences have been with guys who charge at the lower range of about $200-$250.  There is definitely no correlation between price and quality in this industry unfortunately.  

For whatever reason, any time I pay $350 I'm disappointed.  The best providers seem to be in the $250-$300 range.  You get what you pay for does not seem to apply here.

I believe the increase in prescription medication is merely a move from self medicating  to professional medicating.  For centuries, people self medicated with alcohol. More recently, it's marijuana, and/or a wide array of mood altering drugs like meth.
Although I DO agree: parental coddling has created a generation of weak-kneed adults with more limited ability to handle anxiety ( and/or depression ) through traditional methods of exercise, positive relationships, and a satisfying sex life.

The US Department of Homeland Security monitors Rentmen for out of country visitors into US. Had a recent experience where a European visitor posted on Rentmen visiting US and was stopped at airport immigrations for further questioning. Four hours later he was on the next flight back to Europe. He was charged with generating income in the US without a work visa and prostitution. He text me their affidavit and it's evident Rentmen is monitored. We had met on several prior occasions before in the US and also Europe - but not this recent trip. In the future if he wants to return to US he must wait 6 months and apply directly to his country consulate. His passport was also stamped in red "entry refused"

Contacted him and was quoted $1,000 for 2 hrs. Too steep for me.

I work in a New England private university, and put up with this every day with students and student workers - male and female. They are all over-medicated. They need 'therapy dogs' to walk around campus, attend classes and sleep in their dorms (wait until escorts start showing up for appointments with therapy dogs!).  They need to be 'molly coddled'. They need designated safe spaces on campus so they can 'cry' when their feelings are hurt (though most of them cry in class or at their student work jobs). They all identify as dyslexic, autistic and / or 'aspie'. None of them are sure about their pronouns or sexuality (accept for the real handsome dudes who are straight and know their pronouns). This is college these days.
It doesn't stop with Gen Z, it's my coworkers under 50. They are all 'autistic' or 'an aspie', they all need to be coddled, they all have their feelings hurt and need to take time off during the week because of 'the pressure'. They have prescription pill bottles lined up on their desks and pop pills every few hours. They walk around like zombies when they do show up for work (and some of these people are managers and directors). 
 
As for myself and the few other workers over 55 - we just shake our heads in disbelief of the atmosphere we work in.

He sent me a street address and unit number. I arrive at the location on time where I find a hotel, but no number on the street. I text him to ask if he is in this hotel where I have arrived. No response. I finally ask the front desk if this is the address. He says yes, so I check if I can go up the elevator. Key card required. I text italianhunkk again. No response. I send a few more texts over the next 15 minutes and finally get a response that I am in the right place and he just saw my messages. WTF. Then he says he will walk down to meet me - from floor 22. Huh? I wait around a few more minutes just to see if someone finally shows up or if this is just some game to waste my time. To my surprise, he shows up and walks toward me with a big smile on his face like nothing is wrong. No apologies for bad directions or total lack of communication. He starts to lead me back toward the elevator/stairs. At this point I am wondering if he is going to have me “walk” up to his room on floor 22 or somewhere else. I was pretty pissed off by this time. He says, “well, if you don’t want to meet…” and i say, “yes, I’m going to pass” and leave. I don’t know if he was on something or what the deal was. He was the most sketchy, unprofessional masseur I have ever met up with. By the time I returned back to my hotel to attempt to review the experience on rentmasseur, he had already blocked me.  

I passed on this provider when I was in Denver. I contacted him and he was responsive, provided his rates and he mentioned he required a deposit. I politely declined his services and thanked him for his time.
 
He was immediately annoyed, explaining his deposit policy further as I think he assumed (correctly) that this was why I was not interested in pursuing his services any further. I didn’t engage in the discussion but thanked him again for his time and wished him a good night, he sent a few more texts annoyed that I didn’t book. His texts/demeanor was enough for me to avoid in the future.
 
Sharing my experience with others who prefer to not pay a deposit and would like to avoid a similar scenario.

if you think this never-resolvable topic deserves to be discussed more, create your own thread!........or use the search function to find the dozens of others threads trying to reconcile what providers request......hours of fun!

though the forum is notorious for threads drifting off-topic, I'd like to see us get back to nice butts and get away from vaguely stuffy claims about "luxury service" and price/value ratios.......

Guys - one thing I noticed is that if I click on a link to a specific escort - the links we always list in the Deli - it won't open to the exact page in v7.

I mentioned this in an earlier thread, but I like the new format. Got used to it within a day or two and now I find it much easier to navigate. The continuous scroll is good and the ability to see the review comments is great (when on a VPN). I do wish it were a bit easier to apply filters; I have a saved filter and it takes about a half dozen clicks to get to it. Other than that and the occasional glitch because it's still beta, I like it vastly over the older design.

Most of this was already discussed in an earlier thread. Search capabilities are still there. It’s a beta, so there are still a few bugs.
