Great picture of two terrific looking men. I hadn't seen it before, so thank you, @Danny-Darko. I was wondering why Poitier appears to be wearing spats (from the one foot we can see), so I did a little Googling. The picture (which appeared in the February 4, 1966 issue of LIFE) was taken on the set of The Strollin' Twenties, a television show developed and produced by Belafonte, hosted by Poitier and written by Langston Hughes. LIFE described the show as "a promenade through Harlem's lore, legends and way of life."
