  1. I know exactly what makes me happy.
  2. I am not sure that is John Pruitt, though he is a legend for sure.
  3. Cade loves to eat ass before he puts it to other uses. He is one of the best.
  4. It will be interesting to see what happens when the Queen passes on and Charles takes the throne (I assume he will not abdicate). At that point will Scotland really work to become a different state, although as I understand it Parliament must OK that and at this point I cannot imagine them doing that easily. However I am not sure that Scotland has the same devotion to the throne (as embodied in Elizabeth) as they would have toward Charles.
  5. From what I read certain things had to go out with both Mary and Phillip's names on them but that even though he did have the title in the end she was the real monarch. What was began thinking about is the situation where Mary was actually able to produce a male heir and then he became king of Spain (and all the other stuff associated with that title) would that heir then basically become the monarch of a hell of a lot of Europe. During much of Mary's reign Phillip was trying to get her to enter into a joint war against France but England might be more willing to do that knowing that the king or the future king (or queen) would be this warring giant.
  6. As I understand it Queen Mary ("Bloody Mary") was the first undisputed queen regnant. When she married Prince Phillip of Spain he became King, through an Act of Parliament, but only during Mary's lifetime. She equally became queen to titles that Phillip held on the continent.
  7. I had a therapist who once told me, "Comparative suffering is fruitless and obviously not healthy." It was in the contest where I have a fairly debilitating disorder and was constantly reminded, "Well at least it's not cancer." No, I know it's not cancer, it's . . .
  8. I agree. He goes to near the top of my list.
  9. My phone ain't ringing. Story of my life. He must have lost my number. Well, his loss.
  10. After watching E2 I watched it the YouTube version and besides appreciating how great a production number it is I thought that the character singing the cabaret song could have been a young Johnny Depp (of course, this singer is a woman but that highlights just how beautiful Depp is).
  11. I liked that she appealed to the best of our common nature and that by pulling together and practicing actions that may now seem painful we will in the end achieve our common goal. Here's a shout out to the NHS which takes care of Britain's citizens. At any rate, it is a somewhat different look than what we have across the great pond.
  12. I don't think that there have been any completed clinical trials such that doctors can recommend that it be used to treat patients.
  13. I think that is Cain from Corbin Fisher. Perfect body and a bit versatile. But CF has several guys that look similar.
  14. Call me next, goddamn it.
  15. I have just started watching Babylon Berlin and have been very impressed by everything (although it can be violent). I can't imagine how much the series cost to produce. I am a historian by nature so was very impressed by the way they were able to capture the desperation of the Depression and the inequality it produced. The same thing was going on in the U.S. And you could sense why the Nazis would be able little by little to use the desperation. Though I, like everyone else, has found it binge worthy. Don't even think of putting on your face mask (or covering or whatever it is that we are calling it now) to go to the grocery store.
  16. From what I have read Edward VIII might have tried to help to liberalize the government if certain ways. Although monarchs are supposed to be neutral as far as the various governments that are formed. However, their support of certain groups would certainly move things one way or the other. For instance, if Charles had ever become king and Diana was then Queen consort (I think she would be?) her support of AIDS groups might have helped to legitimize all sorts of things.
  17. You are right. I have not seen this yet and know that once I start I will be on my couch for the next how many days straight. But who cares. If you are going to do it this is the time to be incapacitated (in the best sense). I loved the musical number that you provided. I reminded me so much of Ute Lemper doing Kurt Weill. You can't go wrong. So here I go. "Life is a cabaret, come to the cabaret."
  18. Yes, that is very sad. I recall that the documentary recounted that the majority of the victims were children. However one of the people that were interviewed was a man who was a child when his mother was struck with polio. She was removed from the home fairly quickly and placed in a sanitarium. He was not allowed to see her for a. long while and she like many others was placed on a respirator/iron lung. As you mention when she was allowed to return home she could only see him through a mirror attached to the respirator. She eventually was taken off the respirator and placed on crutches. However she did not have the same demeanor he remembers when he was a child. The whole thing was very sad.
  19. I know. I was startled. It was such a different look than his usual clean cut boy portrait. This had a little bit of an edge to it. In a way, I thought that if I was to have sex with him (like I was ever going to have sex with him) I would prefer this new guy. Have him take control. At any rate, just having to look at him because I was comparing the two looks I realized just how beautiful he is. I mean I knew before but I guess I began to take it for granted.
