I think (and this is just a supposition) but I am sure it is a conglomeration of different things. First, it something short of prostitution and the provider does not actually have to touch another guy. Just himself. Second, there is something intriguing about it on their end. We all have a certain ego. Even if he has to pretend it does not harm him to put on a sex show that also makes him feel good and very sexy (despite the fact that the usual factor that contributes to that - a woman) is not there. Third, it does make him money and take care of his needs when other things may not be available or perhaps less optimal things are only available. Finally, you are just assuming that the guy is straight, you don't know (nothing against you). They may be bi or gay so this may be a great way to make a buck or two. As long as they are not hurting themselves or anyone else, just do what you want.
