Particularly because the Congress is going to make life harder. However, my sister once told me about why having a mortgage is good because there are deductions for that. However I believe that is one of the things that is being debated in the current Tax Bill. So look into all that. But for me I just want it gone.

My advice is to pre-pay as much on your mortgage as you reasonably can. I was forced to retire early and unfortunately had a mortgage left to pay off. That in conjunction with ever increasing insurance costs make things tighter than I would like. Not having one or the other would be a lot better.

Also much of the time those writing the laws are the ones that both order the product and control law enforcement. I guess there are two reasons. First, the agencies and what they accomplish are being decimated. It is going to cost plenty of money to bring things back up to where they were at the beginning of this whole debacle. Second, there is horrific debt. The Republicans are do this so that there is no choice but to cut non-discretionary programs in order to be able to payoff a portion of the debt. There will be no discretionary monies left. So, the Democrats will have the unfortunate and politically disastrous decision to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Just wait and see.

I have a pension. I also had an IRA (started very late). When I retired before I thought I might I took my IRA funds and dumped it in the lap of a guy who is the friend of my sister and her husband. It has been making money and I can call him at any time if I want advise about removing funds or anything else. I think the market will continue to rise but eventually what goes up has to go down. I would definitely get advice periodically because my family lost a huge part of their portfolios in 2008. I'm not sure if anything could have been protected against that. P.S. I certainly can appreciate what you are saying. However, as someone who used to make cases against people in the legal system, just not using the word would not free you from liability. A case is crafted from all the circumstances and checking that you are "into" anal, oral, toys, etc. and that you offer "activities in the bedroom" make it hard to explain why you are not in fact a sex companion, no matter what words you may use. Also clients are going to ask you for that info somewhere down the road if that is what they are interested in and you are going to have to give the authorities that info. So, yes, for sure it is harder but in no way impossible.

The article goes into several questions about the differences in interpretation between the statues. However, while he posits that the statues were sculpted with various things in mind (scriptural verses, placement of clothes based on psychological outlooks, etc.), none of that may have been in the mind of the sculptors at the time the statues were made. It is all very interesting however it may be they just wanted to show a hot guy (young or more mature) in the story it is based on. It could also be based on the materials the sculptors were given and where the statues were going to be placed. Psychological interpretation of the sculptural art, as in interpretation of literature (not based on first hand explanations) is interesting but really can get convoluted.
