  1. I'm always amazed at the stories shared by my friend Carmine about some of the young men he meets on Grindr! Scary?

    But back to the OP.

I wouldn't make any sweeping generalizations about porn stars, unless you are prepared that people might do the same about you for watching it.

    It's a business.

  2. As a southerner we rarely see/hear/know much about West coast basketball teams with the exception of the Zags. They end up playing late and their PAC 12 network does not help them much. However, I'm impressed! These PAC 12 teams are rock solid. Bill Walton must be on one hell of a bongathon!

Not sure if the rest of the country gets to view West Coast games on ESPN with Walton doing the color. I love them. He is one of a kind. ?

One night he was going on and on about a dance line that had their first dude on the team. Might have been UCLA. Anyway, he gets it.

  3. It seems like every time I find a masseur that I like, I end up having feelings for him.

Without failure I end up with a crush for him. I find myself checking up on him just to see how he’s doing. During the pandemic I even gave him $100-$300 weekly as I felt sorry for him because his business came to an end because of social distancing and people weren’t ready to get massages.

He always declines my social invitations nicely and always has a reason but when we’re together I just get lost in his touch and his ability to find all my spots that turn me on like no other. Maybe secretly I was hoping he would start to have feelings for me too.

Please know that I am not playing the victim here. I understand that (for him) it’s just business. I’m wondering if anyone can offer me any kind of advice or tips on not developing feelings for my masseur or how to avoid them?

I have developed feelings for my massage therapists. I'm fine with it.

There are some that are truly nice guys. I can't deny I am a little sweet on them. Not a problem for me. I tip them well.

Anyway, give yourself a sanity check now and then, and just enjoy their company. That's one approach.

  4. I explored a Boxer Rescue org. but soon dropped the idea. Their rules included that they would decide which of their dogs are a good fit for me, that I wouldn't necessarily be allowed to meet a specific dog listed on their Website. They had other weird rules as well and wanted a lot of personal credentials.

Some of these rescue groups cherry pick the city and county shelters adopting certain criteria dogs. Hopefully it's good for the dogs. I don't know.

I ended up adopting from a high kill county shelter. I was so happy I did.

If the Labradoodle outfit doesn't feel right to you, perhaps you might pass. After all, you're adding to your family. It's a big decision.

  5. LA Underrated: DTLA old architecture like some of the old movie palaces and the Eastern Building,

Walk around, then find one of the trendy places for a delicious meal.

LA Overrated: WEHO and Rodeo Drive. Visitors want me to take them there. I dread it.

  6. IMO, the tape recorder scene in Happy Together is a great scene period, not merely a great "gay" scene. It was all about Lai suddenly admitting his grief. Well done. Tony Leung was brilliant in that movie.

tumblr_oq3uvzjWxs1u5n9apo3_640.jpg Interestingly, Criterion just released a Wong Kar Wai collection of 7 movies, including Happy Together.

  7. "Other People" has a gay lead character and was written by a gay writer Chris Kelly, former writer at SNL. But it is not entirely a gay film. It's about a family dealing with cancer as well. Watched it on Netflix.

    I love Molly Shannon.

She won a Spirit Award for it. It is funny, sad and ultimately poignant.

The cast is quite good. So many talented actors.

  8. Where did you see Minari? I hate that they pigeonholed it as a "Foreign Language" film for the Oscars even though it's American.

    I thought Nomadland was a little depressing..https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/nomadland-free-from-2-19.163201/

Francis McDormand has a nice job. Be a contender for best actress in a big-budget movie by remaining absolutely stoic in all situations and showing absolutely zero emotion. Strange Hulu got the rights.

Minari and Nomadland are both nominated for best picture.

Getting killed off the show by the writers of TWD has lead to this,

a best actor nomination for Steven Yeun's performance in Minari.

  9. A friend's parent passed away this morning. We exchanged some texts. I wanted to be careful how I expressed myself. One can unintentionally say things that don't come across well.

I invited her to call if needing to talk and that she and her mother will remain in my thoughts, and how sorry I was to hear the news.

I did a search for what one shouldn't say, things that seem insensitive. Glad I did.

"Be strong" and "hang in there" are not recommended according to the source I found. "She's better off" or "in a better place" are also not recommended.

I admit offering "hang in there" in the past, but will think twice before ever using that condolence again.

I do remember when my Mother died, a coworker saying some things that were not helpful, how I couldn't wait for her to shut up.

  10. Grey's Anatomy had a gay relationship long ago.

It only took 15 seasons, but it seems like we're finally getting a gay male relationship on GREY'S ANATOMY

They introduced a nerdy-cute intern last year named Schmitt. Early in the season he had a one-night stand with a female doctor.

Recently the show introduced a new “Ortho God”, a new doc that’s supposed to be gorgeous. He’s played by Chris Carmack, whom I didn’t find that attractive, especially because he’s a new-age-y character, apparently.

HOWEVER… He had another surgeon with him, Dr. Niko Kim, played by Alex Landi.

ANYHOO… Schmitt & Dr. Kim were working on a case and had their masks over their mouths. Their eyes met, Kim winked at Schmitt, and Schmitt got a little flustered. The flirtation continued later...

So after 14 seasons of having to suffer (and gag) through lesbo

kisses and romance, will we finally get one for our side?
