  1. A very northern list of things. Quebec City during January's Carnival has ice sculptures which are impressive. And a bit of a non-sequitur, but your mention of the aurora borealis reminded me of this. Maybe you could see STEVE - I've been wanting to. https://www.wired.com/story/space-photos-of-the-week-meet-steve-the-new-aurora/#:~:text=Steve is short for Strong Thermal Emission Velocity,by highly energized particles called the solar wind. I think there is probably more to say with your last sentence.
  2. You find the portions small? I find them too large, particularly with the ground round. I've got spaghetti sauce for days with one package.
  3. amazing coincidence. we had all the same things on our lists! and all in the same order too!
  4. I love pulling out Bertolt Brecht's "even the dead aren't safe"
  5. The difficult 'double non-sequitur'. Getting back to the topic of a vegan diet. Legumes have almost complete proteins. Including beans and peas in your diet is a good base, and they are very adaptable to many different cuisines from soup to falafels.
  6. Gekko-roman wrestling with reptile dysfunction ...
  7. I wonder if his name is Axle ... I'll be here all week

  9. I see you've edited your previous post, and corrected your mistake about vegetarian mammals.
  10. Nothing. As I said, K and R reproductive strategies have nothing to do with animals having a vegetarian diet, which you said in an earlier post. Now you're not saying that. What kind of doctor are you?
  11. A CANADIAN JOKE A photographer on vacation in Orlando was inside a church taking photographs when he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read '$10,000 per call'. The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what the telephone was used for. The priest replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 you could talk to God. The American thanked the priest and went along his way. Next stop was in Atlanta . There, at a very large cathedral, he saw the same golden telephone with the same sign under it. He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in Orlando and he asked a nearby nun what its purpose was. She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 he could talk to God. 'O.K., thank you,' said the American. He then traveled to Indianapolis , Washington DC , Philadelphia , Boston and New York . In every church he saw the same golden telephone With the same '$10,000 per call' sign under it. The American, upon leaving Vermont decided to travel up to Canada to see if Canadians had the same phone. He arrived in Canada , and again, in the first church he entered, there was the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read '40 cents per call.' The American was surprised so he asked the priest about the sign. 'Father, I've traveled all over America and I've seen this same golden telephone in many churches. I'm told that it is a direct line to Heaven, but in the US the price was $10,000 per call. Why is it so cheap here?’ The priest smiled and answered, 'You're in Canada now, son ... it's a local call.'
  12. the look you get when yet another passenger gets in your car and says "oh ... I want to fuck you"
  13. Looks like his penis shaped strawberry ice cream cone is melting
  14. You're approaching this more as a doctor would - first getting the history before diagnosing.
  15. K and R reproductive strategies don't have anything to do with vegetarian or carnivorous diets. Cats have large litters.
  16. One of my kids has a t-shirt that says: "I'm vegan, that's vegan for hello"
  17. No offense taken. I didn't realize I had asked an obviously stupid question.
  18. Absolutely, I agree with you. I expect most people that pay enough attention to their diet, to make the choice to be vegan, aren't going to be eating crap all the time.
  19. depends how the beer is filtered. most beer isn't vegetarian let alone vegan. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-37350233
