The Canadian/USA border closing would have HUGE economic impacts, even in the short term. The economic argument won over the health argument. But, other than that, this is mostly a public health driven decision

It's been a couple of years. I don't remember 18 stops, but if there were, they were quick. And it was a very pleasant time meandering through the forests of Upper New York State and into Quebec. Cheap compared to a flight.
