You’re, I think partially joking. If not, I don’t really think it’s that odd because texting is so ubiquitous nowadays. It’s unfortunate for people who don’t like to do it. But it’s the way of the world. I mean my Mom just turned 83 in December, and I just received a text from her about a family friend who had a heart attack.
On the other hand, I have an Uncle who is 91. He’s totally with it. He loves internet searching on his iPad and emails quite frequently but is proud of the fact that he has an old flip phone, doesn’t text, and doesn’t do anything on social media.
Think about how odd you would have found it if your grandparents or great-grandparents would have told you they were uncomfortable with telephones.
Now the picture request I do find a bit weird especially since he doesn’t include his complete face in his advertising. I also find it strange about not actually wanting to talk before setting things up for sure.
