It's still impolite and says more about the corrector than the original writer.

I appreciate feedback on all my writing, including spelling.

Even for minor things: it can help me figure out why something was, or was not, auto-corrected and knowing that then allows me to fix it in my system for a future instance, when it will be important (next time I write a work email, for example).

So, in short, I disagree, it is not being impolite, it’s being helpful (at least when you do it to me).

Miss Manners covers this with regard to etiquette. She's often written about being distressed by people's perception of her as the etiquette police, ready to pounce on someone using the wrong fork. She fully supports the concept that unsolicited corrections/advice is one of the biggest etiquette violations, and she only offers advice to those who ask her for it. I notice grammar/spelling mistakes all the time, but I rarely (I hope) point them out to people unless I'm sure they want to know. Others may view me differently :-?

You know guys posting on this web site is not an exercise in academic expression. We are not writing doctoral dissertations. I write most of my posts quickly and although I try to use correct punctuation and correct spelling I can and do mess up. I am often appalled when I reread one of my post and find mistakes. Some mistakes, such as you instead of your, are not caught by spell check. In the end it isn't really all that important.

Now as to what is and what isn't strange; that is rather a bizarre concept on a website dedicated to the discussion of escorts. Just about 99.9% of people would find all of us strange/weird. My attitude regarding this site is simply that it is a great place to enjoy but NOT to take too seriously.

I agree. Most of the time I'm typing on my phone..I often make spelling errors because I'm relying on the auto text to get it right. I often have to look with amusement at my errors and blame it on my fat fingers. LoL My grammar and spelling are far superior on the desktop.

Sometimes, newbies have sent me PMs asking questions that make me wander the purpose for the inquiry... I usually don't expect those questions from new members and ignore them. If the question comes from a regular poster, then I am more willing to answer it.

I don't mind PM by newbies as long as the questions make sense and they don't engage in short sentences as if they were texting instead of emailing. Annoying...

The first question I posted as a newbie was about providers topping me BB without my consent. Maybe to some old timers on the forum, that was “strange”. I remember being scolded for not taking care of my sexual welfare and safety. But the very reason why I posted the question was because I wanted to know how to take care of myself in such situations.

Sometimes, posts that may appear “strange” come from sincere, naive, uninformed posters who are reaching out for help. They just may not know how to express themselves in ways that are acceptable to “forum experts”

BTW, English is not my first language.

There are many self appointed police squads on the forum who will jump on things. Bareback police, food police, tattoo police, exercise police, rates-you-pay police, rates-they-charge police, where you hunt for fun police.....

It’s all part of the plethora of fun here...goes with the territory.

I agree with you, when the question made sense, I did answer it... When the question had a negative twist and the poster seemed to have displayed a similar pattern of questions, then I did not reply.
