The alcohol-hiding ones (plant pots), I am not sure how useful, unless your wife is trying to make you stop drinking? They don’t look refrigerated.

Or don’t use it for alcohol, use it for pot.

The wine stairs really triggered my claustrophobia. They also made me wonder if anyone accidentally fell in if the hatch was inadvertently left open. People could take that clear top for granted.

PS: The cats did NOT care for the sound effects in the original post. They stopped playing, craned their necks, and took off into the bedroom.

My preference is for the second option, the manually operated, horizontal sliding book shelving (0:30). The options featuring swinging doors means losing all the space necessary for the door(s) to clear, and the power operated options are subject to mechanical and/or power failures. The other novelty options (beneath the floor, and poolside) are good conversation pieces but do not interest me in the practical sense.
