Ayurveda is one of the ancient "schools of thought" around health/medicine. It's from India. Like TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), it is a comprehensive holistic approach to "living well" as a way to minimize/reduce illness, injury, etc. It includes nutrition advice, bodywork practices, mental exercises, and more.

Ayurvedic massage uses oils as carriers to deliver various herbs and other ingredients to address your vikruti (imbalance). It is a very intensely relaxing massage style for many people because of the heat and flow of the massage strokes.
