If that’s how you see it. I don’t. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Just one man’s opinion but I’m used to people “admitting” to a crime or misbehavior or to a shortcoming. I haven’t as yet heard someone “admit” to being smart for example. Anyway just something to think about. Personally I don’t admit to being gay I just say I’m gay and am happy that I am.

The question in the title about "admitting." It's about "denying." I think you might be reading into it more than there is/was, but I can understand where you're coming from.

I lived in a small town and went to high school in the 60's. We never thought about anyone being gay. It just wasn't anything people talked about. Later in life my job and where I live have kept me from having the courage to come out. I'm sure there are a lot of people who know and never say anything. There have only been around four or five people who have asked. A couple of them were individuals who didn't deserve a truthful answer. One was a close friend who lived 200 miles way and I finally told her the truth. And it felt so good to tell someone! The other was my elderly father and I lied to him, because I knew there was no way he'd understand. I forgot, my niece talked to me about it and I told her the truth, because I knew she'd understand. I'm getting together with an escort next week for an overnight, and one of the reasons I'm excited about it is because I get a chance to be myself and talk to someone about gay things.

Thanks! I plan these get togethers once or twice a year as part of a trip to either Vegas or New York City. One, or if affordable, two nights of each trip I set up as a date night with a hot hunk of an escort. Exactly! I don't have a family that I have to support, and I am seeing people I know who are around my age and they have a hard time getting around. I'm still in generally good health and can get around pretty easily, but how long that will last I don't know. I sometimes think I spent too much on travel and escorts in my younger years, but now I look back and am glad I did.
