I have a land line phone but it has buttons. I don't have a cell phone. Several times online when I wanted to purchase something I was asked to provide my cell phone number to confirm. Couldn't continue.

Beau I knew, and have heard it not too many years ago. Augur, I thought of a auger for drilling holes. Didn't realize there was another word augur. Peripatetic, never heard of it.

 

The words Beau and courting are not used much now, or 50 years sgo.

 

I've always liked the word courting. While an old fashion term, it nicely describes the path two people take to be as one.

Well at least it has buttons! I remember when there was a "dial" on the phone before "Touch Tone" phones. Touch Tone uses DTMF frequency modulation....

But I am sorely ignorant in the most rudimental things that people take for granted every day. I have never changed a car tire. & etc..

It's been years since I changed a tire. Today, now that the temps have dropped recently, I had to put air in my tires. I'm not used to squatting down these days. I was a little slow to straighten up.
