Wow. What a nightmare or those of us who have eggs sitting in a freezer or have used an egg donor.

Preimplantation genetic testing (PGD) should have caught this eventually, particularly for couples that had run genetic tests on their own blood samples first.

PGD is not run on blood. Its the process of testing an embryo for genetic indicators. To my knowledge, its not used for paternity tests. The American Society Of Reproductive Medicine frowns on its use for gender testing. Its application in preventing implantation of embryos that result in challenged or terminally ill children is a fantastic development.

The stuff nightmares are made of. A Dutch doctor impregnated multiple women with his own sperm resulting in at least 49 children children for infertile couples and women.

He was good looking, please don't crucify me for being so superficial, after all this forum is mostly about escorts...

Yes, PGD is run on tissue from the embryo in order to test for genetic issues. But the couple can run micro-array tests on their own blood samples. Numerous inconsistencies between the blood tests and PGD results would set off alarm bells.

As for gender testing, the reality is that couples are usually told the gender of each viable embryo before the transfer.
