I got the following alert today:

FFF,

We've received an alert on your Tammy Faye thread. Please don't demean the other users of the Message Board and please don't use a copyrighted image in your signature.

Daddy

Since the message board is populated with little girls I guess I'm just too much for you ladies. So, lest someone get offended, I will bid you adieu and it can go back to being the boring thing it generally is.

So, if you wonder why it's so tedious that it makes your hair hurt, you can go look in the mirror and also complain to the "owner".

Daddy sez: Strike Two...ttfn

Bye bitches.

Finally yours,

FFF

FFF,

Some of your posts have been so cleaver and well-written that you've had me both rolling on the floor with laughter and admiring your ability to see things in a different light.

I haven't always agreed with you and you've often pushed my buttons. I will miss your contributions and hope you'll consider periodically checking out the sandbox in the future.

Diversity is a good thing. ;-)

Can you use a "copyrighted image" as an avatar? I'd assume the law states "no" and 20th Century Fox probably wouldn't approve of me stealing from them, let alone the back royalties Tri-lingual must owe the Carmen Miranda Foundation.

(Well, anyHoo, how delicious to pull the "copyright infringement" argument when the subject is youknowwho.)

You CAN, but that does not mean you have permission.

Yup. But that's your battle. If 20th Century Fox files a cease and desist, we'll have no choice but to take action.

We choose to respect legitimate copyright complaints. Always have.

So THAT'S what youknowwho did? At least Bruno Gaucho was amusing enough to come and confront the Foom head on (in a somewhat charming manner).

As for 20th Century Fox, maybe I just won't answer the door or phone for a couple days. I'd suggest that if someone shows up at Tri-lingual's place wearing a fruit basket on their head, he do the same. :p

It's unfortunate that Bruno needed to do that, and yes his replies were quite charming. You'll notice he got no response, after several tries, which was not quite so charming on Foom's part.

If you're going to dish it out, be prepared to deal with pushback. It seems Foom's response is to fold his tent and run away with his panties in a twist and his dress over his head. (I hope that mental image is as difficult for you as it is for me.)

Pretty sad response, really.

Oh, if I think really really hard, I can come up with another who couldn't deal with "pushback".

(panties? dress? let's not demean other users, hmmmm?)

Yes. Contrary to what deej, in his infinite legal wisdom, thinks, satire is permitted under fair use doctrine. FFF's use of what he calls benji's "tiny dick" pic was satirical in nature and protected by the First Amendment. Perhaps deej is confusing benji's pic with benji's serial plagiarism, which was NOT satirical, but rather an attempt to pass off other peoples' work as his own.

I think I said that you CAN use it but it does not mean you have permission.

Did I not say that? (Hmmm... yes I did.)

I did not say more than that.

I don't recall saying that. I don't recall even touching it. Seems to be your issue.

Put words in someone else's mouth, pal. I'm not interested.

Uncle fin, you have made me laugh my ass off, the disection of Ben-Jamin Barry Borowitz' mea-culpa was your all time classic.

Paraphrasing Nicholson in the movie "A Few Good Men" (irony!), they can't handle the truth!

I bid adieu too.

Well, I'll see you guys at the grand reunion if our own little bald Britney makes her spectacular comeback in the message center (seems behind the scenes plans are being furiously laid....). FFF, don't lose those photoshopping skills! "Moderators" will be working over time with their lawyers you can bet to protect the precious! Ahh, just like the old days. ;-)

His malicious attacks will not be missed. It was unpleasant to see him return and, hopefully, he is gone for good. He is not funny. He is mean spirited and never posted a positive message in the entire time he was around.

Well, he DID remind us of the distasteful dangers of poop-smeared dildos in mouths, but, my heavens, such topics are much more appropriate in the "reviews" than in the "message center".

I guess.

Oh goodie!!! Does this mean Ben Worth A Nickel is clearing the brush for his return?

I'm so looking forward to more stories of delivering babies and sucking on shitty

dildo's for cash. I can't wait to hear what he's been up to. Running NASA? Offered Steve Jobs

gig at Apple?

Yeah, lets clear out the trash and get back to outing Priests and spreading false information

about the HIV status of other escorts.

Gimmie a fucking break.

Fin, you made me laugh, especially when these nasty faggots got offended by your posts.

Rupert Murdoch wins again. I had no idea that this board was part of the DJ deal.

Another blow for freedom of expression. For all of those that say he was mean spirited, evil, etc., the choice is always yours not to read what he writes. That is what we call free will.

FFF, I'll miss you.

PS: the copyright issue is nothing but a smoke screen.

Well, there's the problem. FFF's threads (from looking at the count number) usually get above a thousand hits vs. the low hundreds, and this can't be pleasing to the tiny princess.

"Satire" and "Free Speech" and "pushback" are just golly gee wonderful unless it's bitingly successful, hilarious, and the subject is a protected ninny who (unlike Brazilian-born Bruno Gaucho) is so afraid of the Foom he can't come here to speak for himself but has to (now don't choke on your food) threaten "copyright" issues with his altered pic. I don't know about anyone else, but "Fin Fang Foom..." in the title usually got my attention first and poor Daddy and deej are castrating their best bull in the pasture. And before anybodys whines...I know....it's THEIR pasture.

Mr. Foom wasn't asked to leave, he was asked to stop being a rude and insulting guest and then he made the decision to leave. Perhaps he realized that he was incapable of making a contribution without being obnoxious, perhaps he just wanted to leave on his own before being booted as he realized he was not able to control his acidity, perhaps he is just coming back in another form like a character on a soap opera. I was never a member of the 3F club but he is chosing to leave rather than being kicked out. I will miss his posts even if they usually just reminded me how bitter and petty some people can be.

Correction: it's Daddy's pasture. Leave me out of it.

The rules are posted. You are free to break them at your own risk. If you cross the line and get called on it, don't come back whining (or make a FABULOUS grandstand exit that we all know won't last ... again).

Nobody forced FFF to post what he did. But he did post it and got called on it. And then he ran away. Wah. Poor baby.

Yeah, there's a bull in the pasture. You can tell from the big steaming droppings.

I always knew you could judge a guy's maturity by his reaction to criticism - and FFF has shown us he is still woefully immature.

Reminds me of the spoiled little brat, when at a birthday party is asked to play a game he doesn't like and picks up his skirts and stamps off home. Happy stamping Foom!
