Hi, Does anyone have a recommendation for a good psychologist or counselor who would be especially good with a Gay Couple with escort issues?

Sorry I don't. I am having my own issues trying to find a GAY PCP in NYC that will accept NEW patients....

The following online resource may be a good first step in finding a competent therapist in NYC. What I like about the site is you can find a therapist who is gay*, one who takes your insurance, and one who specializes in the type of therapy you think would be helpful. Their little "About" section will give you a feel for them personally. I know many of the listed therapists in my own city, and I can assure you that, although the therapists pay for the listing on Psychology Today, the listings are a pretty good way to find a counselor/therapist you can trust. It's not an exhaustive list of counselors in your area, and friends' recommendations probably trump the list.

It's also very helpful that most of the therapists on the site give you a good idea of cost-per-session, if you are paying out-of-pocket.

@jjkrkwood at NYU Langone Men's Health on Madison Avenue there are at least two that I know of. I just switched from one to another....

Few good NYC PCPs of any orientation are accepting new non-PPO patients. Mine is good, but he’s a specialist who sidelines as a GP.
