I bought it and hid it under my mattress so my parents wouldn't find it. It meant so much to me that he being a famous athlete had written his story and come out to the world as a Gay Man, which was unheard of back in those days! In doing so he helped many youths struggling with gay identity and proved to the world that the gay male stereotype was just that, an erroneous stereotype. I will always be grateful to him for what he did that took so much courage back then in those days compared to today.
