"Chris" and I went visiting the Getty villa with my step-mother, and thought that one of the vases portraying an older gay man coming on to a younger gay man would look good in our house. We went to the gift shop, but no dice. I also searched amazon and Ebay, but I couldn't find anything there, either. Any other ideas?

Would be interesting to see your interior design... I think finding a homoerotic grecian vase is a fantastic idea. If you like it a lot, perhaps find a potter on etsy to customize a piece. Are you trying to create a scene from Birdcage? lol

I have a modernistic asian contemporary theme in my place and am looking for one of those japanese "erotic pillow books" used as instructional manuals for the unitiated... to frame selective pictures in the bathroom. Sadly, they are only male/female pictures but entertaining and interesting conversation pieces.

This was on the Getty website (sadly no fellating nor fornicating) but they are nude!

Those latter 3 (from Ebay) are a bit too overt for mixed company, but the other suggestions are good tips.  Thanks. I never considered that the Getty store would sell a bunch of stuff online that they wouldn't sell in their actual store....

I only buy the originals. Who wants a copy on their house?

I have zero interest in original stuff, other than unique, non-precious works of art from local artists. I don't see any advantage to owning originals, other than if I thought the value would appreciate, and I had children to leave them to (which I don't). Otherwise it's just a nightmare. One has to worry about their getting stolen or damaged, and they have to be insured separately. Aesthetically, a reproduction is just as pleasing as an original.
