I always just pay up. Yes I have. Although that wasn’t the sole reason. I was going through a personal crisis and hired a well reviewed escort to take my mind off things. He was the nicest guy and absolutely stunning. I couldn’t take my mind off my personal issues and realized I didn’t want to be there but was going to try and force myself. After 5 minutes of initial greeting he asked for my payment up front and this really through me for a loop because I didn’t read any reviews of this guy asking other clients this nor discussed beforehand. Despite his charm and beauty I found it off putting - or maybe I was looking for a reason to leave because I wasn’t horny at all and my mind was elsewhere. I paid him but then told him I had to leave. He seemed shocked and tried to convince me to stay - even though he already had my money. I explained my heart and mind wasn’t into it and he was extremely respectful even though I sensed he thought I wasn’t into him sexually which wasn’t the case at all. Someday I still want to meet with him as he seems to still be getting great reviews but I no longer live in his city. We shall see. Based on my short time in his place he was courteous, sexy as hell, and wanted to make me comfortable so I’ll never say a bad thing about him on these boards despite being asked for payment ahead of time. + Pensant
I always have a phone conversation before meeting a new provider. Most of them appreciate it. + keroscenefire
I think the main caveat should always be to go into it with reasonable expectations. I don't always get 100% of what I want from every session, but I don't let that upset me. These guys are human beings and things do happen. xyz48B
@Cliff– I’ve been burnt. Fool me once; shame on you. Fool me twice; shame on me. I won’t have it happen again. And it’s worked just for me to find alternative ways to satisfy the deposit need. And if that’s a no-go, then just like he won’t meet me without a deposit, I won’t meet him if it’s required. Business is business. I don’t owe him anything anymore than be owes me anything. Luvfurrytops, + keroscenefire, coriolis888 and 3 others

xyz48B
@kaboom35– That’s a sad story. Sorry. 😢 I wonder… Is there a difference between paying before you meet and as soon as you meet? When I meet a new guy, I usually pay cash. For various reasons. The most obvious being it’s the “safest” for both of us til we both know each other aren’t whackos. But even when I do that, I explain that the payment will be in an envelope, clearly visible, with his name written on it. Before we meet, I text him a picture of the envelope showing what it looks like. Before we meet, I tell him he’s free to count it then or whatever, but I don’t want to talk money once he’s there. That’s worked well for me for first encounters. I haven’t had a guy rush over to count it while I wait. And we don’t have to talk about money during our time together. ekoile

Bingo. For me, there are certain things that have to happen in order for me to enjoy: We gotta really kiss, I need to get into his ass, and he needs to cum. And hopefully, he will at least appear to be into it. I have twice paid guys half the rate and sent them packing when they clearly weren't into honoring what they had agreed (i.e., turning their heads instead of kissing, or refusing to open open up down below). I've given them half their fees and told them to leave. Neither was happy but they left (it helps that I'm tall and "burly").

I’m by no means a novice with this hobby; but I’ve never encountered this behavior from providers. If they’re regulars (10+ nights/sessions together) and I trust them, Zelle. For the rest, a stack on the counter, clearly visible, has always allayed any concerns they may have had and obviates the need to discuss such vulgar matter$

Ooh I did this with a NY escort I hired. He seem cool chatting and setting the appointment but once I stepped in his apartment I got a horrible vibe from him that he we was high or doing hard drugs. He excused himself to his bathroom before we “got started” and he was taking a LONG time in the bathroom. it was bizarre. The longer I waited for him to come out of the bathroom the more paranoid I became. After 10 minutes of him in the bathroom, I decided to leave quick, which I did, ran out of his place and down the street as quickly as I could in case he would attempt to come after me. Immediately blocked his number so he couldn’t send a follow up text. To this day I wonder if he came out of the bathroom sooner what would’ve happened. + keroscenefire
Another caveat I just thought of and relates to my personal experience. I will now not meet with any guy who refuses to meet me in public first. It's actually happened to me a few times where I was supposed to just come up to his hotel room or apartment or whatever only to encounter some type of security that prevents me from doing so. In one instance, I was actually escorted by a security guard off the property because the guy refused to meet me in the lobby and I couldn't explain who I was trying to visit. Now I am just explicit whenever I am travelling to a provider. I need you to meet me in the lobby or even preferably on the sidewalk outside the building. claym, Rand, + glutes and 1 other 1 1 1

Gdrake
I once had an counter with a young guy off Grindr, who asked for a little cash after, and then stopped me a few weeks later for a busted taillight - he was completely smooth about it and when it brought my license, registration, and verbal warning, he also said that that enjoyed having be along for his night shift last time. Then he asked for the cash upfront and naively I have it to him. He then stated that even a massage would be extra on top of the 300 I already gave him. That's when I told him to GTFO ! Afterwards he tried black mailing me, saying he would go to the police. I blocked him and reported the ad. amel.tahmid
