OP note: Climate change in action! What's next? No more hurricane insurance in Florida and the gulf coast? Should we have a homeowner basic insurance in the whole country for tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, etc.?

Well, living in the Hollywood Hills is extremely expensive because one has to buy insurance through the California FAIR plan. Even though I'm very careful and have a defensible space around my house, I still get lumped in with neighbors who have tree branches literally brushing up against their houses. The first thing I did after I bought my house was to cut down two trees which were essentially abutting the house. I'm surprised the fire marshal allows that, but they seem more concerned with underbrush.
