marylander1940
Specially those who's only job is escorting and as we all know there busy days and weeks and slow ones too. Do you really need to go on vacation? This thread is also open to honest hearsay by guys who hire them. I know of only one escort who whenever he has a free place to stay in Maui leaves SF and flies there for several weeks. All the other guys I know tell me they have holidays whenever the phone doesn't ring and they're always ready to get a call. I'm NOT implying by any means escorting is easy or dealing with time wastes and other bottom feeders is not problematic as pointed on here several times by providers. Do you really need to go on vacation? Really? You're basically implying that someone that isn't working a regular schedule doesn't need a break from their normal routine. I see escorts as just like most freelancers. They often have to work double-time to keep income flowing, they're either working on the current gig or working on the leads for the next gig. That means down-time is often irregular at best, weekends are not guarantee. If anything, freelancers benefit more from unplugging from the daily grind. On the other hand, freelancers can schedule that time off at will, not subject to an employer's policies or dictates. That's a nice bit of freedom that I miss. marylander1940, pubic_assistance, Simon Suraci and 2 others 1 1

No, I didn't say that and I guess you didn't read my post or just misinterpreted it! 25 minutes ago, marylander1940 said: I'm NOT implying by any means escorting is easy or dealing with time wastes and other bottom feeders is not problematic as pointed on here several times by providers. It's an excellent question and the answer is yes.... there are certain places on the planet 🌎 that are just for me... generally it's been the South Pacific ( Tahiti ) and surfing Queens in Honolulu allows me to not have a single thought of anything "biz" related. Historically I've carefully put myself away for a month or two after long busy streaks, I'm certain it's been critical to my longevity. Again, excellent question 🙌🏽 in fact, my ad in RM is actually hidden at the moment... it's visible to folks here because of the link but not visible in the search on RM. I've just come home from nearly 3 weeks in Europe with wonderful certain someone I've known for years.... now it's time to put my energy towards my diet and training for everyone's benefit 😜
Jamie21
I’ve just come back from 5 days in France. I like regular short breaks. Yes some business is lost because I’m away but I think these clients just find another date to book so I’m not too bothered by being unavailable for a week. I’m self employed so any time I’m not working I’m not earning. I tend to end up doing work every day so it’s really important to me to carve out time when I’m unavailable and I can properly relax. Yes there’s days when I have no clients booked but I end up doing other work on those days ( writing, filming, learning stuff) so as long as that work is the type of thing that can be done anytime anywhere then it’s ideal to fit around clients. I love having the flexibility of working when I want to, answering to only me. I’d never go back to a 9 to 5 job. Simon Suraci
Yes. I work every day. Except for like, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Maybe Labor Day and/or Memorial Day if my family has something going on and a client hasn’t already booked me well in advance. Even when I’m not fully booked on a given day, there’s always something flexible but work related to do and I do it. It’s imperative to have periods of total downtime. Travel for fun/vacation/relaxation must be planned out and booked in advance. Even staycations are that way. It’s intentional and normal, and necessary for my well being. That said, I don’t take more vacation than most other people. Maybe 2 weeks a year in aggregate. 3 to 4 weeks a year when I am doing well and able to miss out on the work. I can’t afford to do that right now, but maybe in a year or two after my new client base in San Diego is better established. marylander1940 and + DynamicUno
socurious
You can work while traveling if you decide to visit somewhere in the USA. I just think the whole "working thing" will ruin the vacation experience. But that's just me. ICTJOCK
I do, twice a year for sure. My schedule has to be lined up to make it work with all that I do. I am into southwest travel and usually one per year is geared to the southwest part of the US in some manner, hiking and exploring. Also into shopping in Santa Fe. Also a Civil War buff and spend time back east at some of the battlefields. Travel in general. I did a Spain & Portugal trip 2 years ago, which was incredible. + Vegas_Millennial and marylander1940 1

Simon Suraci
OKC is an underserved market. They can always use traveling providers and masseurs. I did well there and plan to return. socurious

Jason Dutch
Travelling alone for escorting work can be super fun and adventurous but can be really lonely. Travelling with another escort can be also fun, but inevitably creates some logistical knots. If I'm travelling with family, a partner, a good friend, I decide in advance whether I'm going to work on any of the days and usually I prefer not to work at all during some of those trips. Also, not all destinations are worth the effort due to being remote or without the proper infrastructure thomas
