Thelatin
Not certain if this is the appropriate location for this post. I did the hire, I booked a sweet ass home in Palm Springs. I’ve come to realize even I can only F around in the pool for so long. I’ve been to the main strip of bars before, not really into bars. I’m just looking for a few activity ideas while there. CuriousByNature
I've enjoyed the Palm Springs Art Museum each time I have visited, and also going up on the aerial tramway and spending a few hours on the mountain walking around. I'm not a hiker, but the views are great. jayjaycali, + Charlie and thomas

Are you sure about that? "As of 12/11/23 the preserve, including undamaged trails, parking lot, picnic area, and visitor center, has resumed regular hours of operation: 8am to 5pm daily." + Charlie
viewing ownly
I trust Charlie's judgement on this one, likely from in-person experience over an Internet post from a website.
+ Charlie
@nycman is correct!! The last time I checked over the weekend it was still closed (since late August), but it apparently re-opened two days ago. + nycman
+ Charlie
We drove up to the Whitewater Preserve this afternoon. Blue skies, sunshine, temps in the 70s. The fall foliage still hasn't disappeared from the trees, so the views were gorgeous. This is the first weekend it has been open since August, when the road up to it was damaged by flooding, so more people than usual had made the trek this late in the year. + azdr0710, + Lucky and thomas
TonyDown
I have a friend in the restaurant business in La Quinta that mentioned the snowbird population had trended down so that restaurant business has dropped in his area. Has anyone else noticed or heard that? So make it a point to patronize some of the favorite eateries while in PS. I enjoyed seeing the Marilyn Monroe statue earlier this year. We picked up delicious ice coffees (was a very hot day) at the newer Starbucks nearby. Edited December 28, 2023 by TonyDown
Shoedog112
Palm Springs has the best mid century modern architecture. You can drive or bike thru the many neighborhoods in the Greater Palm Springs area and admire the history and beauty of the homes and buildings. It’s very old Hollywood if you appreciate that era.
