At least better than spending hours daily on seeking arrangements looking for an affordable kept boy + DrownedBoy and MikeBiDude 1
Jarrod_Uncut
3 hours ago, maninsoma said: I get the joke, but I think it's based on a very distorted impression of what Craigslist offered. At least in San Francisco, there were a lot of gay men who would dip their toes into the escort and/or erotic massage pool. I still vetted guys I hired and I took precautions when meeting men for the first time. Even though I occasionally ended up with providers who misrepresented what they were offering, I had far more successes than failures. I never found myself in a position where I felt concerned for my physical safety. 3 hours ago, marylander1940 said: Misrepresentations happen in dating/hiring. Hiring from CL was asking to get mugged. I am glad you beat the odds. Craigslist was big in San Antonio, Denver, and a lot of “upcoming” cities for “massages” back when the erotic services ran. It was nothing risky about it, it was okay for what it was at the time. However, things have changed. Like someone mentioned, what you would have found on Craigslist, has now likely turned to content creating. Seems fewer people are becoming escorts, everyone just assumes onlyfans when they hear “sex worker”. There’s currently a site out there called Megapersonals which is somewhat similar to Backpage. However, I’ve been on it a little while and yet to meet 1 serious client. So many flakes, and the girls have said it’s dropped off due to scams…However they recently cleaner it up quite a bit and started requiring more verification. It might work in a bigger city, but in my region it sucks all throughout. I occasionally use a separate number on it, and refer people to my website with my real number. But majority don’t read the ad and follow the directions. MikeBiDude, Openmindedlatino and Hen
Jason Dutch
In Canada we have LeoList which is essentially a Backpage clone and is widely popular. Not the same format, but: Adam4Adam now has the option to upgrade one's profile to a PRO account, and it's pretty affordable. It's also free for non-PROs to use the site and message PROs so I find a lot of guys are on there who wouldn't purchase a membership to, say, RM. I've done and I've gotten many inquiries and appointments out of it, far more than I ever expected. The site as a whole is overly tricked out with every imaginable feature (video reels and stories, status updates, groups/parties, podcasts, underwear shops, winks, chats, comments, likes.. it's a bit much) but this feature is great. However, the "PRO" icon often goes unnoticed by people not expecting it and I'm not sure how easy it is to filter down just to providers. + APPLE1
