The former host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show has cancelled several performances of her latest stand-up tour, Ellen's Last Stand... Up, in Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, and Chicago, this month and next, according to the Ticketmaster website. No reason for the cancellations was given, but a message from the company said, "Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event." Refunds would be issued in 14 to 21 days, ticket holders were told. DeGeneres embarked on her tour, her first since allegations of a toxic workplace on her show emerged, in June and has already performed in some locations. In both Los Angeles and Santa Rosa, Calif., she reportedly made jokes about the situation, as she had teased that she would. Racial issues and other disturbing things going on. She luckily made a boatload of cash in her day but her career is now done. Those are her words about the people whose lives were made miserable by her. Ellen has become an arrogant, self absorbed POS that knows nothing about being a decent human being. Just like when she used to joke being upset about the gay community putting her on a pedestal. She didn't want that. So, one might not be surprised her not keeping her seniors in line. Not her problems. Too bad she didn't get it. Hollywood is full of greedy executives. That trickled down when the show stopped production for COVID. Other shows treated their staff more generously then Ellen. I'm not surprised how the toxic complaints surfaced after the show shut down for COVID. Where I work, toxic behavior, and other misconduct is grounds for immediate dismissal. I guess we know by now that Hollywood has catching up to do.
