Providers blocking clients

My pet peeve.. when a client says " Sup"

You’re not alone. One of my regulars told me he doesn’t even respond to “Sup” or “Hey” or “Wyd”. He said no booking has ever come from a conversation that starts like this and he either ignores or blocks

I think some providers block without thinking too much about it. I know fans who complain about actors blocking them on X, formerly Twitter.

They've written about how confused they are and how they have no idea why they were blocked.

I think providers are dealing with a lot of inquiries that don't lead to many clients so they just get block happy.

OP's provider looks incredibly hot; I wonder what he does in his 'boyfriend experience.'

If a client reaches out to me without even saying hi and they just say "Rates"

I normally say "Well hello nice to meet you;  thank you for checking out my ad and your name? Are you looking for in-call or an out-call?

30% of them don't even respond.

You also get an instant block if you try to lowball me a ridiculous number. This is a business. I provide a service and it's disrespectful to try to bargain and be upset if I'm not willing to bargain.

Now, I definitely do understand that there may be a difference between

1. “Hello! Hope you’re well! You’re so hot!. I’m in NYC, are you available tonight? What are your rates?”

2. “How much”.

I don't think a provider should be offended by 1 above   and if they are, it's good that they block me so I don't have to put up with a narcissist. I have no use for "luxury " escorts who think their looks entitle them to be rude.

That being said, I usually only bring up rates on the second question,  after I establish they're close enough, do outcalls,  and kiss. It's less being polite than demonstrating I'm serious. Bad clients give everyone a bad name.

Oddly, he's blocked me too. And I don't recall ever looking at him and I've never been to Ft. Lauderdale, so it's very weird.

Beyond my previous posts here, which were addressing the overwhelming majority of the situations, I think there are also exceptional circumstances and accidents.

Even in those cases, I think the best course of action is to just move on without waisting time on second thoughts. If you assessed what you did, and you did nothing wrong or nothing at all, whatever caused the block is beyond your control.

Oh, I don't care. Florida (along with several other states with anti-queer legislation) is on my boycott list. Plus, he's not my type. I just noticed that this provider whose profile I doubt I've ever even viewed (see boycott), and thought it was interesting.

I agree- I believe phrase 1 is better than phrase 2, and was trying to emphasize the difference between the two.

You might find some providers reply to your initial outreach with a rate included , just to make sure the conversation is worth continuing (if you can’t pay it, no reason to continue).

Good on you for establishing their availability and proximity first.

How would the provider know this if the blocking was done before meeting in person? Plus escorts shouldn’t really discriminate for these listed things. Not saying they can’t, but rentmen isn’t grindr.

Scenarios like this usually occur after the said provider asks for a picture.
once that pic comes through, the potential client’s race, assumed age, and body type are all revealed. Once the provider blocks him, he can conclude that at least one of those three demographics were why.

I despise racist people and if that has happened to you I'm very sorry. I don't care what the clients look like nor their race The only thing I care about is good hygiene and just be a nice guy.

Correct. And on top of these, his good or bad looks. We can pretend that looks, race etc do not matter but they do.

It’s a part of life that I’m unbothered by at this point. I just make people look stupid when I encounter it in-person.

If on a hook up app or a site like RM or MF, I’m not bothered by being blocked or ignored. I’d rather someone block me, than meet up and have a terrible experience.

As long as my ability to vote, buy property, earn a living and invest my earnings are intact, I’m good . 🙂

Anyone calling calling himself 'LUXURY' escort is .........

One can market his rate as premium or higher end of the market. But 'LUXURY'..... I can feel their diva energy radiating from afar. I am probably too dirt poor to pay anw.

That said, never been blocked by a provider just bcs 'its tacky to ask for a price/rate'. Its a business transaction, everyone asks. The actual $$$ itself might affect ppl differently, but one would surely ask someway or another.
