You’re correct. We shouldn’t argue.
what annoys me is when people on these forums use the advantage of their anonymity to ridiculously critique the looks of performers & providers who are literally paid because of their looks.

Also, 99.99999 percent of the time, that subject provider looks far better than the person carefully critiquing their looks.

It’s the hypocrisy that triggers the arguments, not anyone’s individual freedom of opinion to comment.

I don’t think people are hiring based on a written comment here vs seeing pics (and other behavioral criteria if they can find that info) unless someone makes a case for the pics being inaccurate

so the negative comments shouldn’t really matter either way

I also ignore individuals saying they think someone is hot - who cares - that’s that person’s preference and unless I’m organizing a setup  or group activity I don’t care what someone else likes 😉

pitchy, adjective
1. of a musical tone : slightly off pitch : slightly too high or too low

If you scroll down in the link you posted, you’ll see that the first known usage of the term in that context was in 1997.  I would have guessed circa 2002 on American Idol, but not far off.  Regardless, it’s not generally a term that those formally educated in music use; there are more succinct ways of saying exactly what was off about the pitch(es).

I can’t think of a more succinct way of describing something than with one word. You can’t get more succinct than that. By definition.
