Is it normal to have to Uber providers if client hosts?

Are providers asking for an Uber more often? Yes. Do travelling providers ask for an Uber? Almost always.

I see it as increased laziness, entitlement,  and greed. I have regulars who pay their own Uber since they more than get it back from their fee. Chicago has the 2nd best transit system in the country, but younger providers expect a d@mned limo.

I've only paid for Ubers if the provider is both exceptional and reflects it in his fees. I've been offered incall rates for sending an Uber; since they just sit there, I don't otherwise.

Couldn’t agree more! The idea - no, the expectation - of needing to be chauffeured as a precondition to do outcalls is galling

Absolutely!  The sense of entitlement exhibited by some here is simply mind-boggling.
With the exceptions of select porn stars, no escort or masseur should expect, much less demand, to be chauffeured to and from his client's location.

As previously stated, the landscaper, exterminator, and wallpaper hanger don't get chauffeured to Chez Bozo to do their job. An escort should be no different.

You don’t have to agree to it though! If you don’t want to pay for his Uber then don’t hire him.

The reason some ask for an Uber is not necessarily entitlement, it’s usually more to test the client’s motivation. I think it works quite well if you’re unsure whether the client is genuine or not.

Some people on here unfortunately brag about getting a discount on a first meeting, being pushy, getting more for less, etc. I think we should treat others the way we would like to be treated.

Getting a discount is something to brag about? The only time I gave one was when I was broke as hell and needed to make sure the client didn't flake. I regretted it soon after because the buddy got the wrong message and even tried to ask for another one. It was my first worst experience ever in the business (he tried to take advantage of me after we were done claiming he only had 200 bucks when we agreed it was 250 for an hour). I should have trust my guts once he start touching me. You can't be too nice in this business

The provider has still the right to feel entitled. It's his body and time at the end of the day.

If you can't provide an Uber then get ready to make a deposit. Many exterminators and landscapers will ask for one too. As an escort I am totally entitled to run business the way I want anyways. If you don't agree there are many other clients that will out there. You don't tell me how to run my stuff. I'm providing my service under MY conditions and limitations.

Honestly, overly entitled clients are no-no for me. I rather having fewer bookings in exchange of more positive experiences with nicer conscious people.

I wouldn't say it's normal or abnormal... I agree with some of the people here who have said it is not to be expected, and while I have never put that onus on a client, it's something that is offered to me with a lot of frequency but again I've never asked for for it. If it's in a city, where I don't have my own transportation, I absorb the cost in which case, most of time people offer to pay for it.  Sometimes it's a short walk from where I'm staying in which case ( NYC ) it's not an issue ... it does make you feel good when someone sends  for you and by default makes me appreciate them that much more and I will go out of my way to return the same courtesy and generosity in any way that I can.

When I visit the Washington DC area, I stay in Arlington so most people come to me, but there are times when people who live in Washington DC proper want to see me and they offer an Uber to get me into the city but let me say one more time, I don't expect it and I've never asked for it and never will.
At least for me,  after someone has paid your hourly honorarium, It seems a bit petty to ask for such a thing... it's almost as bad as asking for a tip.. it's a no no 😉

Why some see escorting as "they (escorts) versus as (clients)" when we're 2 sides of the same coin?

Do you remember my story about the client that made me travel 10 hours to D. C. (no deposit nor transportation paid) and when I was there he blocked me and disappeared? The coward didn't even have the nerves to explain why. On the contrary, when I confronted him with my other RM account asking why he did that, the buddy made up an story claiming that he asked several of my reviewers about their experience with me and that many claimed I was supposedly inconsistent. A damn filthy lie because I know for a fact I only have one review and it is extremely positive. He is a regular client on RM. I reported him there. Nothing will justify what he did and I never got back the time and the MONEY spent traveling there for him. What a jackass. I have more stories to share btw.

Asking for deposits turns away clients. Demanding an Uber is an indirect way to ask for a deposit to make sure the interaction is serious. I don't do out of entitlement. It's only when I travel outside of Manhattan that I ask for ubers.

It's good to know that you think that someone who won't provide you with an UBER or send a deposit in advance is an "overly-entitled client."
That certainly speaks volumes....

You compared escorts with plumbers and landscapers. It was explained by several posters the main purpose of ubers and you still simplified everything as "not being your problem". You even indirectly called us entitled and lazy. It's telling me you aren't a considerate client.

I hope you never hire me and if you try to I will likely decline. We escorts are entitled to impose our conditions. There are plenty of folks out there willing to respect our business. It should be a mutual agreement.

And please, selling your body is a huge deal.  That's unless you are a real slut and don't care about the consequences. Don't compare it with wallpaper hangers.

Nobody is BUYING your body. Buying implies slavery. Clients rent an escort's "time." And as we've read on some of these forums, some men merely want a human male connection where the sex act is secondary.

And one chooses to escort. As you write, if a client doesn't tolerate your brand of B.S., there are those who will. Same with escorting. If you decide to leave the biz, there are plenty of other men with possibly more or better of whatever you offer to take up the slack.

As for being a "slut"... well....

Most aren't selling their bodies... Just renting them out.

And like wallpaper hangers, I want everything well hung.

Yes, I meant renting. English is my second language. Sometimes I get lost in the traslation if you know what I mean. Forgive the typos and terrible grammar too. I always post from my phone in the middle of everything lol. My apologies.

Um, what’s wrong with plumbers and landscapers?

Yes, doesn't have to Uber him but let's do not be pushy when it comes to a precise ETA. The escort might walk or take metro.

The issue here as I said before is trust and goes both ways.

It's amazing to me how so many people are stuck in the past and refuse to use new technologies.

Entitlements many times are in the eyes of the beholder. To most young people older generations have plenty of entitlements while life nowadays is more competitive than ever before. Laziness? Young folks work their asses off.

I would rather be polite and kind when I contact someone to have sex with me for money. I do understand some people get a rush out of bragging of being pushy, outright mean, and demanding with others besides calling them names, etc.

I think it’s not them being entitled.. The request for an Uber is simply a power dynamic playing out. The bottom line? Sex is about power in its various facets. Everyone who is in any way successful in this industry understands that implicitly.

I agree with you, the refusal of sending an uber is about the power dynamic escort/client, they versus us (clients) that is all over this thread.

Also, some visiting escorts in NYC feel uncomfortable with taking the subway late at night. In such cases, I don't mind springing for the ride... though i usually try to avoid such scenarios (unless he is uber hot or I'm extremely horny).

I don’t necessarily see it as a ‘they versus us’ binary power dynamic. It’s much more subtle than that. There’s a mutual dependence.

Why do I do sex work? Well it’s partly for the money of course, and because I like the flexibility of it but it’s also because it meets a need for me. Not for sex (tbh it rather ruins your sex life) but it meets other needs that go beyond the need to earn an income. Things to do with identity and being desired etc. So in that sense my client has a great deal of power over me even though he’s the one hiring me.

some people see it that way. Is getting the most in their own terms for the least amount of money. It's a trend that appears constantly, I guess must be based on having made the wrong professional decisions and therefore having almost no income to spend in this expensive hobby.
