Fortunately this guy is now blocked and out of my life for showing me what an asshole he really is: But he scheduled me one time the right away, but then became a timewaster twice in a row. And why he wants to only offer me $200, knowing that I ask more in the 350/400 range for travel arrangement bookings.

It is never a guarantee, that I’ll have multiple clients per day of hotel stay. Even when multiple clients do contact me on the same day: it’s not always I’m able to meet them because often times they want the same block of time, and at short notice. I had this last Saturday: 3 clients tried to book something in the afternoon. 1 planned in advance the day before, the other 2 were stragglers trying to squeeze in last minute visits, and only offering $100. The guy who booked in advance was the only person I seen, during my 12-5 p.m. dayuse hotel booking. The rest were fucked out of luck.

I schedule most of my out of town bookings in advance. So any last minute guys usually don’t get a chance. Therefore, the notion that I’ll be able to profit off an expensive hotel room is nothing short of speculation, and I always make sure I charge accordingly, based on what I have to pay for 1 day.

Come on, you know by now that thats not his style.

It’s much more fun (although I suspect infinitely less profitable) to antagonize and piss off clients.

Dear providers, don’t make assumptions about how clients should react to unnecessary and superfluous information justifying your pricing.

Just charge what you think right for you since that is your right, and feel free to call anyone who doesn’t make a booking after making contact in an open market where information gathering and negotiation are key components,  an “asshole”.

If you are booked in advance and last minute guys don’t get a chance, doesn’t that prove that the client’s assumption was right?  You are seeing more than one client!
