Al,

Not that I want to belabor a point and truth is this is all rather unimportant in the grand scheme, but as a long time visitor to this board (I mean really long time), it never fails that someone will post a tidbit of information regarding a particular escort. The news will be looked at and then the comments begin.

There is no way on earth that this dudeluver dude was going to win. If he posted that a Gaiety dancer might very well have a skin disease and didn't mention who, there are many people (most of whose names I could rattle off in a minute - and I suspect you could also)who would have jumped all over him, demanding that a real friend of the johns would have posted his name. Of course, he chose to post the name and it was inevitable that the high and mighty admonished him for ruining an escort's reputation.

My point being that there are a lot of people here who just like to hear themselves prattle on. It means nothing to me that they do; it's their right. But as an observer of people (and one perhaps a bit too soured on grand dames) you can almost quote the replies before you even read them.

You may think I have no right to comment or it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black - and it's true that I might employ an escort only once or twice a year - but I find it endlessly amusing at the grandiosity of some of the regulars. There is no need to mention names since, unlike possibly Donny, they do no harm. My initial post really was only for the purpose of telling dudeluver I thought he did the right thing. It's true that if he's wrong, he has hurt Donny's reputation, but if he's right .... would the answer have been to do nothin? to tell Donny (who obviously was here to make a few bucks)? to tell the management of the Gaiety (puhleeze)?

That's all. I've had my say for the next four or five months. Carry on - and, Al, you give good posts - keep up the tempered and thoughtful observations.

I will NEVER understand why so many gay men can be so damn vicious and cruel and then proceed to justify it with such self-righteous bullshit.

I don't know this Donny guy. And I don't know how you can possibly be so certain as to what you saw. Even doctors make a point to look at skin rashes under both a bright light and a magnifying glass. And they're TRAINED to diagnose diseases!!You're not!!!

The fact that you would publicly write such things about another person (a person is a human being with feelings by the way) shows a very repugnant side of your character. And unfortunately a side I see too often in the gay community.

Whether this guy has what you claim he has or not, my heart goes out to him -- especially if he is aware that this is being written about him.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-23-01 AT 09:50AM (EST)[p]E tu, NYO? That makes Shamus, you, me and several other reviewers and reviewees on this site Wildcats. Who knew that Deering Library was such a breeding ground of .............?

Later.

PS. I just noticed, and it is appropriate, that this posting was number 333. However, most of my friends and acquaintances are convinced that somewhere on my body I have the numbers 666, my nickname being Satan. No one's found them yet.

I am thoroughly outraged by the audacity of your message. A great number of people have access to this site, and on your highly under-argued assessment of this dancer's "skin condition," you are creating for him a lot of unnecessary bad press.

It is also painfully apparent that you are not an MD or a PA, simply by the way in which you articulated your very presumtuous but rudimentary medical exam. Those "white spots" could be a fungal infection, that if it were, because of it's very nature, has a bleaching effect on the skin, and is more noticeable on tanned skin. Hygiene has nothing to do with its onset...it is easily contracted by any ordinary person, even without their noticing it, and it is HARDLY a disease. Perhaps you suffer from a condition known to the medical community as HYPOCHONDRIASIS.

And why should the Gaiety be responsible for medical examinations? Maybe they should be giving you a phyical on the way in, a full blood panel as well, CBC w/ differential, along with other tests....And what makes sense about being able to monitor a smaller party of dancers say 13 as opposed to 30 as you claim?

Somewhere between action and impulse lies a realm of good taste that is begging for your acquaintance.

For anyone else besides dudeluver reading this, consider the source, always.

AIM,

PULEEEEZE! I am so sick and tired of hearing comments like yours about gay men and the community. A lot of people could view a certain group of men hiring escorts as representative of the community which would be truly inaccurate cause a lot of them are married, bi, or not sure where they fall on the Kinsey scale so give it a rest. You are also assuming dudeluver is gay. He could be in fact another dancer or escort who has a grudge against Donny for whatever reason unknown to all of us readers. Oh didn't you know? A lot of them aren't gay and are doing it for money. Yes some people are vicious and some just happen to be gay. GET OVER IT AND GET A LIFE!

Gentlemen: Topics like this are appropriate to discuss among us customers of such establishments. However, my interest is for a broader review of such strip joints. ON this site only the Gaiety gets regular reviews.

I would like to get more information on other strip joints around the world. And lets face it there are not that many. When I go to a city such as Miami or London, I would like to find this kind of information and your reviews here.

Are any of you interested in such a site or added section to M4M???? Lets discuss this.

go to "escort by region" and in the left hand column you will see "strip club reviews". i use to go to strip clubs more often but when i travel now i tend to just hire an escort. for the money spent in the strip clubs you get real one-on-one and know exactly what to expect.yes, the eye candy is great at times, but i like getting to know a person and have real sex. will i still go to clubs? yes, but i think i will avoid the back rooms and the added cost.

with this site, it is easier than ever to know what to expect and get a guarenteed goodtime and spend your money wisely.
